You're a bit late to the party... but you're welcome nonetheless!

Please take the time and read the rest of this thread. Hopefully it will answer your question.

I know I'm late. I just came here to post in the suggest bands and saw someone else did first. Then I saw they were rejected which shocked me greatly. LOL

I just can't fathom them being rejected. They are the textbook definition of proggy avant-garde metal.

I completely agree with the fact that DFD are an experimental metal band that is worthy of their prog recognition. If you'll look at my profile then you'll note that I'm a huge DFD fan and know all of their albums inside out. Unfortunately this doesn't help the cause since a rejected band will remain this way unless they release new material (which is unlikely) or move them for evaluation to another sub-genre team (which hasn't worked out so far).

I think it's time Admin had another look at this rule whereby a rejected band can only be re-evaluated if they release new material or get taken up by another sub genre team. There are obviously several cases where bands have been rejected by previous incarnations of the evaluation teams, and the vast majority of members expressing an opinion believe these rejections to have been in error. Dog Fashion Disco is one example, Coroner is another that cropped up only yesterday. I believe that if a completely new evaluation team is in place from the one that rejected the band initially, and the resolve of the members of that team is sufficiently strong to vote unanimously for the band to be added - then they should be allowed to do so. This is after all an archive site, and if the archives have gaps in the database due to 'errors' on the part of previous evaluation teams, then it isn't entirely fulfilling its role as an archive site. A procedure needs to be made available to us so that we can correct cases such as these without having to wait for new material to be released by the band/artist concerned, material which indeed may never be forthcoming.

I'm a big fan as well. Oh well, it's a damned shame. Hopefully stuff changes.

Let's take it one step at the time and try to get Knives Out! on PA seeing that they just released a new album. Thumbs Up
