GGGGGGGGGMEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn. Can't believe it. Yet again, another heart stopper there at the end. Once the giants wasted that time out and still had to punt I was worried a fair bit. But damn....that Eli. What a beast.

And apparently Bradshaw wanted to stop but he had too much momentum to not go into the endzone. I again had heart attacks with that last hail mary...thought Gronk got it there for a moment at the end.

But hell...another superbowl victory to the G-Men. Congrats to the team, the elite eli (who really put the seaon on his shoulders) and esp to Coughlin. Time to drink in celebration.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

It was tense, I was feeling alright since well..hail mary's are never a success and I saw a lot of white jerseys flocking, but yeah went down to the very last second. Very tense!

Just what else to say? Awesome SB run again, and it came down to the Giants defense rising up in the 4th quarter, and Eli's masterful display. The G men just don't give up, really fought this season.

I will give kudos to Tom Brady. Honestly, the Pats had no business being in the SB but he dragged them there! Eli had a Peyton caliber performance in regards to how much he did with so little, but same to Brady. I give him flak for the offense he runs but it's not like he really has explosive weapons and he does a damn good job evading pressure. He carried the team more so than ever. Noble performance but the guy needs some help! Just like the Colts, one man can not get you all the way to the finish line.

I have got to give my respect to the Giants. They always find a way to win the big games, make the big plays. The Patriots missed some important plays by dropping the ball and Brady was off target on some occasions. It will be interesting to see how the Giants perform next year, and if they can carry that spirit over for a long time...

I'd put him in a similar class to Bill Parcells, at this point, and plenty of people think Parcells is a shoe in for eventual induction (many, not me, were wondering why he got skipped this year).

The halftime show was good.......Madonna still has it. I said earlier had some of those other krapt artists not showed up it probably would have been better.
You have to admit, by that point in the game we needed something to watch, the game was horridly bad and boring.

It was really a Week 3, maybe Week 5 game with an extended halftime............and a lot more people watching. LOL

Only thing makes me feel better is that the Giants won.

Awesome good job Giants. They are really awesome.
Now hopefully my Seahawks can at least get to 9-7 next season and actually have a good quarterback. Maybe we could even pick up Peyton!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

^ Well getting off topic now.......but 9-7 in the NFC Worst will not get the Hawks anywhere. We have to contend with the 49'ers now who will probably go in the neighborhood of 11-5....which should include a sweep of the NFCW teams.

Yeah that's right. There's actually a good team in our division now.

What really stuck out to me was the difference in facial expression between the two QBs.  Manning was calm, confident, and upbeat looking every time I saw him....Brady looked down, worried, not confident.  Even when they were ahead.

Oh please the half time show was god awful, and yes that is compared to the generally god awful SB shows!

I'm hoping Peyton doesn't go to the Redskins, that would piss me offLOL and it's actually not a bad place for him.
I really think the Phins and Sehawks are great choices. Seattle has a good defense, great run game, actually set up perfectly for Peyton! The Dolphins also have some pieces in place and have Brandon Marshall. Oh and neither have any loyalty at QB!

Like some people say the Jets but they wont give up on Sanchez yet, they poured in to much. But Tavaris Jackson? Chad Henne/Matt Moore? To chance getting a healthy Peyton I'd give those guys up in a heartbeat!

I do hope he can come back. Would be such a shame to see it end like this.

Have a feeling that Peyton's going to struggle wherever he ends up.  He's coming off a major neck injury and isn't likely to have the same o-line he had most of his career.  There's also a chance he might have to play outside (parish the thought of playing football outdoors).  Of course, all that being said: He'll still be a big improvement for about half the teams in the league.

Congrats JJ.  Probably better that the Giants won, so the rest of the world doesn't have to listen to the 100,000,000 New Yorkers whining about not succeeding at buying the championship. Wink

If he's healthy I don't see all of that being much of an issue aside from general decline due to age. I'm not so sure he'll be 100% next season though.

Good choice? They don't have a single WR and Shanahan is a run first control freak with the offense.

I think the Jets or the 49ers would make a lot of sense for him.

No of course you don't question it MoM he didn't coach the SteelersLOL
I was pretty surprised Parcells wasn't inducted. If he's not a lock I have no idea what is! I'll admit IDK about Couglin yet but he just took sooo much sh*t despite what he's done I'm glad to see the talk.

Speaking of which, some great irony that one of Eli's biggest criticisms was his lack of emotion. No bravado, no swagger, he doesn't show any excitement ever. NOW everyone is gushing how he's so cool and calm and unflappable. The ones who wanted Coughlin fired every year are now giving him a HoF jacket and proclaiming his worth. The media make me giggle!

Well, they can carry the spirit, but while it feels too soon to say it yet...the Giants DO need to fix some things.
What Eli did was magical this year, but I'd prefer him to not have to do it againLOL

Yup, good choice because they have a solid defense, good run game and you have to assume they'd get a weapon or two, though the Skins border on mentally insane with their moves so who knowsLOL

Phins or Seahawks would be much better though, don't get me wrong. Also I kind of like the idea of him playing the Pats twice a year!

Parcells will go into the HOF but I don't think he's a first ballot guy.  I thought his career of living out of a suitcase might hurt him, a bit.  Swooping into towns for a few years, cashing big checks, maybe or maybe not improving the team's record, then going to another town or temporarily retiring.  He will, and should, get in because of his coaching record I just think he should wait a few years.  Jerome Bettis, Chris Carter, and Tim Brown are the ones people should be shocked by.  What the hell is keeping them out?

Partially, also I know Parcells was not the...friendliest guy, especially with the media.

You are right about Carter and Brown, total snubs. Was Bettis eligible? Wow, yeah guess it has been that long, doesn't seem like it! Another snub for sure. I love the Bus, and when you're #6 on the rushing yard list not sure how you don't make it. Who knows why some have to wait but all 3 will make it, hopefully sooner not later.
