I saw that there was a Christmas special.  The Christmas special wasn't included with the 1st Series set of discs.  I will have to look and see if it is on a separate disc or if it is included with the 2nd Series set of discs.   Hopefully, my library has a copy of it so that I can see it.

Zipped through the 1st series fairly quickly.  Still with the same opinion.  Kind of B-movie/campy-ish, but it is pretty damn addicting.  I'm definitely going to continue on to Series 2.

I think Dr Who has just gotten better and better since the reboot.Eccleston was good,Tennant was really good but I think Matt Smith is simply outstanding in the role.

I just started watching The Fades on BBCA.The verdict is still out until I see a few more episodes.

I tell you what I am super psyched for,and that is the new series of Red Dwarf.Can't wait!!!!!!!Especially after the sub-par Back to Earth,that really disappointed me and I heard some people say Series 10 is like a mix of Series 3 and 5 with a dash of 6 thrown in.

I disagree. It is a family programme. Sarah Jane Adventures is the kids version.
The relaunch is certainly more family oriented programming - the original was intended to be an educational programme and was scheduled in the post-Grandstand early Saturday evening childrens TV time slot; the relaunch scheduling continued in this time-slot eventhough the BBC (and ITV) had scrapped that time-slot as being specifally for children by then. Also the profusion of spin-off toys and magazines aimed specifically at 8-14 year olds would indicate that they are still the target audience, regardless of how many of us oldies have watched every episode since 1963.

And Torchwood was the "adult" version, with lots of blokes kissing each other & etc.

Yep. It was shown on BBC America. Fact. Robin Hood ended after series 3 or 4.

I think that some of these shows might get shown on BBC America.  I recall seeing the Dr. Who commercials, and thinking that that sounded like my kind of show.  I am pretty certain that I saw Torchwood commericials too.  The only show that I can remember watching on BBC America was Robin Hood, and I quite enjoyed that too, although it seemed to have just ended.  I think that I may have missed something or maybe even an entire season, but I am not sure. 

Anyhow, I quite expect that Dr. Who will be a program that I will come to enjoy.  It certainly has the potentially based on the first few episodes.  They seem kind of B movie-ish, but I have high hopes.

I had not heard of Torchwood.  Sounds like something else that I will have to look out for.  I borrowed this Doctor Who series from the library.  They seem to have a lot of the older series too, so I might go back and watch those eventually.  I just figured that since they had Series One of this newer version that it was a good place to start.  I see from my Wiki readings that it is a continuation of the older Series' story instead of just a remake, so that does make me curious to go back further.  I think that I will see how this batch of shows goes first though.  I've watched the first 3 shows and although I am not sold on parts of the storyline I think that it might grow on me.
