Not just that I do like the Ravens so besides the natural joy of a win, I couldn't get that extra amped up.

My dad hates em though, guess you can hold a grudge 11 years later!

Wont get too caught up with the future, the Niners are gunna be tough as hell.

Same.  I'm not talking Super Bowl at all.  Two tough games next week IMO.

Sadly, the playoffs worked out really well for the Cheatriots: With their amazingly awful passing defense they had to pin their hopes on only having to face teams they could comfortably outscore .  The AFC couldn't have set up any better for them.  First they got to face Tebow and now they get the marginally better Flacco.  As long as they can defend the screen the game shouldn't be anything but another Cheatriot blowout.  Even if they hadn't gotten this dream lineup they'd have just had to face a one-legged Ben Rothlisberger, being coached by and idiot, and could have gone up against a team lead by a rookie drafted in the 5th round.  Jake Delhomme should have come in against the Ravens, btw.

OMG man marginally? Even in this down year, comparing Flacco and Tebow is so ridicLOL
Even Sanchez is clearly better at this point.

Well watcha gunna do? The AFC should suck less...you mentioned that defense, how can you not score against it and it's damn hard to stop Brady but it is very possible.
Not just a want...I think the Ravens match up well. They can generate pressure, including up the middle which is key.
Also Ray Rice will probably run it well against em, and Flacco may not be a stud but he has shown success against poorer defenses. I think it'll be a close game.

Actually, considering how different the home Ravens are to the road Ravens I think they match up rather poorly especially their secondary vs. the Cheatriots recievers.  They will have to decide early on whether they are going to try to bring Suggs and the other LBs, to pressure Brady, and leave those TEs uncovered or drop their LBs into coverage and give Brady all day.  I know the Cheatriots D is so bad that they have to worry about any passing game but this is not one that can outscore them.  Spy Rice coming out of the backfield and they'll have trouble moving on anyone.

They have all the weapons a modern offense needs they just need someone competent drawing up and calling the plays.  Who knows, they might even start running actual screen passes instead of those idiotically dangerous WR screens that never can't net more than a handful of yards even on most incompetent of defenses.

I just hope that they improve their passing defense and their offensive line to protect Ben who his about to break a record for sacks against him... I can't judge if the coaches are competent or not, i trust them to make the best move in that department.

Seems to be rain in the forecast for San Fran on Sunday, and it's been raining there for a couple days prior. Should make for some sloppy field conditions. Looks like this may be a good ol' fashioned slophouse. Not sure if this helps the gmen or not.

But anyway...superbowl prediction: Patriots & 49ers.

I forsee it. I'd rather the Ravens but while they certainly can win idk if they will.

And yes, MoM must be elated. Arians finally gone. As I always tried to tell him....I have a feeling you're gunna let down in 2012 since I've not yet found an OC popular with a team except for maybe the Saints, Pack and Pats and sorry...but how good is an OC when you have those guys at QB?

Even the Giants, tough to complain with our potent our offense can be I really think the OC sucks. The play calling is a combo of hideously conservative/predictable and WTF man!? Especially when they go up...instead of racking up a few more points  and end it they just start running every first 2 downs and/or behind the line passes that go nowhere. Then the other team closes up and we have another heart attack finish.

You saw that second Packer game....sooo many 3rd and longs (sometimes more than 10) I cant believe Eli hasn't murdered the guy for putting him in that spot constantly, even crazier he always converts them.

You don't realise how bad Bruce was.  I'd take a dead fish over him.  Hopefully, though, the Steelers don't hire from within (corrupted pool having coached under Arians).  Todd Haley for OC 2012!

To be fair, it's not that hard to convert on third and long when the opposing defense has the worst pass defense in the history of the NFL. LOL

Very true but still...not the position I enjoy him being in constantly. Also...not always playing the Packers and it's usually not so easy to face constant 3rd and longs. It's really Victor Cruz. I think it's no surprise Eli faltered so badly without Steve Smith and with a new 3rd receiver now he's upped the game. Cruz has been major for us.

And yes I know MoM but I still fail to see the issue, I mean how will things be different now? You always griped that all the plays were Ben improv-ing...well that's still gunna happen. What else do you want?  A normal pocket passing offense? I hope not...we've seen him do that (while hobbled) and it's not the best he's too used to backyard football. Besides I do wish Eli had such an ability to scramble and scamper, it would be a live saver so many times.

not even denying Arians sucks but dude which one doesn't? At best an OC is a good teacher/groomer and Ben doesn't need that now. I fail to see how a new OC is anything different. Especially when the big problem are the PLAYERS. The GM has more power and should fix that o line and some defense. That would be such a huge help.

Another terrible OC
My ravens friend hates Cam Cameron

Oh my god I hate watching the PatsLOL so many god damn short passes! And idk what makes a legal cut block but I love these passes behind the line and they just level everyone in front of them.

This Ravens O line is collapsing pretty quick against just a 3 man rush. Already tough to pass against 8 guys but when under pressure...this is not looking good for Flacco thus far.
