No. After a submission the referee declares the other guy the winner.   The loser then sneak up on the winner and hits him over the head with a chair.  Pandemonium ensues.
Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

After submission, you have to wear the gag.

Is the band submission procedure referred to by the OP still correctly reflecting the procedure the team members prefer? The procedure's not updated since September, 2008. And I seem to have noticed that most submissions/suggestions are made by creating a thread in this forum.

However, as this thread shows, there might be a need for a revision in the procedures, and in particular what concerns transparency and insight into the submission process, as this is not the first time someone calls for feedback. I, for one, have made 11 suggestions (in this forum) during the last couple of years, all of which I have no idea where are in the process, if at all.

I am sometimes referred to progfreak.com to follow the process. But this, as I understand it, is no official tool giving an overview of the work in all of the teams, or of all the submissions?

What usually seems to happen is that if someone hasn't heard any progress regarding a suggestion they made within a month or so (sometimes sooner) they 'bump' the topic in this forum. This seems to pretty well guarantee getting an update, either by one of the forum monitors or a member of the team who have been given the task of evaluating the artist. This procedure seems to work ok from what I have seen so far. Not all teams use progfreak, however - Prog Metal, Post/Math, RIO/Avant, Psyche, Heavy, Crossover & Neo do use it, Eclectic, Symphonic, JRF and RPI all have used it in the past, but no longer do. The other teams have never used it as far as I know.
I wish all teams used this facility. I feel it is an excellent tool which gives us all a chance to follow the progress of our suggestions, but I can also understand why some team members might perhaps feel uncomfortable having their voting choices made 'public' in this way.

All I know is a submission given through the right channels is checked thoroughly by the specific genre team.

eg: Symphonic Team did receive a submission yesterday. We, the team, checked out the music, vote YES, added the band bio, the albums, the reviews later. It took 2 days.
