I'll probably get Eider Stellaire at some point, but honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed when I listened to it...still, if I don't get it this time around, it'll probably never be available again. LOL

I hope it's not sold out by the time I go to France, can't justify a fortune in shipping. But it's not like Eider Stellaire is as well known as Dün...

I'm very tempted to order at least one of the Ash Ra Tempel albums...the debut is absolutely phenomenal, I'd love to hear it as remastered by Manuel himself.  Not to mention hearing any of the others.

Yep, it is.  I wonder what sort of a mastering job the new issue got, because this is the first CD issue of it (first issue of any kind since the original vinyl, I think).

It was legal to download that album before it was re-released because it was out-of-print for 30 years. All you can find though are mediocre vinyl rips. Also owning it will give you that necessary ZEUHL CRED

I'm definitely looking forward to a copy without all the vinyl pops, etc.

Pat, don't know how much this interest you but:

Doone Records is pleased to announce the release of the first DVD from IZZ - IZZ Live

Release Date: October 4, 2011

IZZ Live captures four distinct visions of IZZ both on stage and in the studio. IZZ's live performance at the North East Art Rock Festival (NEARfest) in 2007 is the cornerstone feature of this DVD. Shot brilliantly by the crew of Studio M Live, Inc., the show at NEARfest is a musical experience that takes viewers onto the stage of IZZ's memorable performance. This DVD includes the never-before-seen footage of IZZ's passionate performance at Progwest 2002, plus IZZ's lively and spontaneous live in-studio performance for The Dividing Line Broadcast Network in 2003 as well as additional behind-the-scenes footage of IZZ recording sessions throughout the years. IZZ Live presents the band performing over 25 songs comprising over 3 hours of music and live video, including such IZZ favorites as Assurance, Star Evil Gnoma Su, Coming Like Light and more.

Yeah, I received that e-mail yesterday.  Not sure if I'll pick it up, I have the CD of the Nearfest performance, so that might be good enough for me.

C'est vrai.

Sucks that she's not in the band anymore.  Ouch

Last I saw on their/her website she was working in an off-broadway musical.  I haven't heard any updates on that.  If she is touring with the musical; if it made it to Broadway; if that job is over and she is available to be in the band again. :)

Like, I seriously cannot f*cking wait.  Goddamn.  Album of the year, I am thinking.

Also, my friend told me that she was with Ever Forthright the other day and they were wrapping up recording the sax for the album, with a tentative release date of "Derptober." LOL
