Definitely King Crimson (especially for Larks'Tongues in Aspic, but not only for that), though I do like The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway very much.

At their best, Genesis still couldn't come close to the power of the Crimson King.

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

Tough one, I like 5 KC (Court, Poseidon, Lizard, Larks and Beat) albums against 2 Genesis (Nursery and Foxtrot)albums. But the two Genesis albums are alot better than the 5 KC albums. I guess I'll go with Genesis.

Interesting call. Both have put out both horrible and fantastic albums. Of course albums like Red and Foxtrot are popular but both showcase rather lacklustre musical taste and influences. Tough call, this one. It could vary from day to day.
However, at the moment it would be Genesis by a mosquito's foreskin.

I prefer King Crimson. And besides, if KC hadn't existed Geneses would never have pulled it of.

Crimson for me. While Genesis went pop, Crimso went in a very progressive direction during the "Discipline" era. They also deviated from the Les Paul/Mellotron formula more than Genesis did.
And, Mssr. Fripp is still at it! Looking forward to the new release!
