It was a decent game, considering I didn't really care for any team (though I dislike the Steelers so I'm haply with the results). I hole one day the awful Dolphins make it... at least to the playoffs...

Woo Packers.

Game was alright overall. Not the greatest, not the worst. Got fairly exciting towards the end, but did drag, oddly enough in the beginning-ish.

I know what you mean, but his receivers can share a lot of that blame.  Way too many dropped balls.  And actually, from a numbers perspective he ended up with a pretty nice game.

But overall it came down to the hole the Steelers dug themselves with turnovers.

True, there were a lot of slippery fingers out there.

That 2 point conversion was a dandy.

I wonder if Charles Woodson and Donald Driver will retire now. They're both aging players and have finally achieved the ultimate goal. Nothing like going out on top

Indeed, like with Strahan.
If I was them I would for sure, going out as champ and was still good at the time.

I'm with you.  Glad the Packers won, but it wasn't very entertaining.  Last year's game was the most entertaining football game I've ever seen.

Last year's? That one I thought was just ok (Colts-Saints, just making sure we're talking about the same game LOL).

The Super Bowl 2 years ago (Steelers and Cards) and 3 years ago (Giants and Pats) were some of the most spectacular games of all time, especially the Pats-Giants game (the best game of all time, in my opinion).

I'm glad the Packers won and here's to the 2011 Rams Beer

I must be one of the biggest Packers fans in the UK and I'm absolutely overjoyed.  It was a late late night but worth every minute to see that.  So nervous in the second half!  To win the SB after those 3 road wins in the playoffs is a fantastic achievement.  When you consider all the injuries too (some huge players lost last night - Driver, Woodson) it's even better.

I personally thought Rodgers was excellent, only 2 wayward throws all night by my recollection.  3 TDs, no picks and if his receivers hadn't dropped 4 or 5 easy balls we'd be talking about a 450 yards plus passing game in a SB which is very rare.  He fully deserved the MVP.

My heart was with the Pack but I put my money on the Steelers. Pretty good game overall I thought. Polamula was fairly quiet. 21 points off 3 turnovers pretty much guarantees a loss. Rodgers is in the elite of QB's with this performance.

So glad that the Packers won, but I thought that game was pretty boring.

Pretty much.

Although I knew Mendenhall was good, but damn he is really good. Didn't know he had the footwork to match his speed and power, real impressive back. And about the only player on offense that did anything Tongue

Yeah, he played great and I think the Steelers O-line played a hell of a game.

I was picking Mendenhall for the game MVP if the Steelers managed to pull it out.

I had never really noticed Mendenhall until the playoffs this year. He's a beast.

I'm there too.....I am very glad the Packers won. Hopefully Ben will not take it out on the girls in the local bar scene......

And agree, last years game was much more exciting......Onside kick to start the 2nd half, recovered by the kicking team!!!! Interception that basically seals the game for the Saints!!! And all this against Manning and the Colts...Yea it was good for sure.

Congrats to the Green Bay Packers....very nice!!!!!!

His numbers weren't as high as I would have expected for the game (14 carries for 65 yards, 1 TD), but since Pitt was in a hole early I guess they couldn't run him as much as they would have liked.

Yeah and I only thought of him as a power runner, with some speed but he looks to be a very complete back.

And I never thought much of him when he joined the NFL after having one big year at Illinois.

If he had 16 carries, there's a chance they wouldn't have been in that hole.

Well, at least the Lions can say they beat the Super Bowl champs, that’s something, right?

The Lions drafted Defensive lineman Nick Fairley.  I'm not familiar with him but it sounds like he will be a great addition on the line with Suh.  Every indication here was that they wanted to take the CB Prince, but as they said on ESPN there was no way that the Lions could have expected Fairley to fall to number 13.

Also, the Giants are now on the clock.
