Yes, that's true: not all Zeuhl is French. Only 90% of the bands.

Nah, there's a whole bunch of it from Japan.

For all recent and following soreheads: I´ve used commas around the word "National" in the title and added the notice about Zeuhl in my first post. Maybe it´ll be better.

RPI is really the only genre I've had an intense immersion into, although Indo/Raga is an extremely interesting and enjoyable genre.

"A whole bunch"? Yes, it's true there are many bands: Ruins, Koenjihyakkei, Bondage Fruit and a few others...
But not only these bands have started in the late 80's or the early 90's, they also are less numerous than the French bands or even the French musicians who were influenced by or played in Magma: Zao, Weidorje, Jannick Top (in solo), Potemkine, Eskaton, Dün, Altaďs, Shub-Niggurath, Troll, Neom, Setna... I won't list them all, there's a page about Zeuhl on PA.

I will never deny the importance of the Japanese scene, but I still think it doesn't really compete with the French scene if you're talking about the amount of bands.

rather Canterbury, but Raga rock is yet very good, particular and interesting although underestimate (I've this impression anyway)

I think I will vote for Italian Progressive Rock too.

A city in Kent is second and Cabbage Rock third.

From this list I'll go with Canterbury, although for me there's only a gnat's whisker between it and Krautrock.
