If you watch the games he's not doing much. He's very smart. He knows where to go with the ball. He knows where the defenders are. I give him loads of credit for that. However, the throws he's required to make are simple. They're mostly little dinks and dunks. He's accurate, but most good qbs are on short/intermediate throws. IMO he's not an mvp for this reason.
He sure knows where to go with the ball today, 5 sacks, going down with it

Sorry Tim missed the great predictions that you made.

no you did not miss it

Actually no, as insane as this sounds I used to go Eagles if the Giants went down.
I was one of the "other NY team" haters.

But I've realized that's a bit silly, and the Jets aren't a joke anymore so I don't have to defer to the Eagles LOL

And haters gon hate? See Pat, isn't it great to disregard to all flak with such a simple statement? Wink
Hey man, no one will deny whatever wins, wins. But the Pats offense can be run, with a lot of success, by a HS senior QB. That's really not a joke.

Pat is right, and I wish more people would say it. Brady is a great QB as it was said, but he is not the God he's thought of, and it's proven that damn system they run is more important then the QB. Remember Matt Cassle? Not a knock him, but not started a game since HS to right off the bench and leading an NFL team to that much success? No, sorry. And while I've been a casual fan, the way the Jets have played the last 2 seasons and their mentality I think has made me a legit fan.

Enh, not even worth commenting. Haters gon hate, etc.
Hey Pat, sorry that your Patriots lost.  But take heart...at least they aren't the Lions. LOL  I really expected that this was going to be their year again.

it is a joke. I know everyone here feels otherwise, but brady is a great qb. I don't think cassel is that bad of aqb, he led another team to the playoffs this year.

If you think the pats results over the past 10 years would have been the same with some other random dude, youre nuts.

By the way, I get to flame and be a dick to everyone for 24 hours. I think that should be the rule for anyone when their team gets knocked out of the playoffs.

Lions kept most of their games close and fought hard.
And this year they did go 6-10  7-9.

History wants me to believe they will backslide and '10 will end up a rare gem, but maybe they finally have turned a corner.

I do not think that. Because this Pats offense has only been in use since 2007. LOL
Before Brady had good numbers, but nothing like these inhuman ones.
Cassel is a good QB but doing that good after stepping in like that?
Brady is a great QB, there's no denying it and as Pat said he can run this offense flawlessly. But it's easy. Also look at how many players are added/removed with no impact whatsoever. None of that seems a little unusual?

The Giants need a whole damn season to get a new receiver on the field! Even the ones around for 2 seasons still don't have the offense down yet Cry

The QB is great. The system is great. They have a lot of other great players. It obviously wasn't enough today.

I don't know how easy it is to run.   Maybe we should borrow Eli for a season and we would have an answer.

Well, prior to this year (with very young receivers and missing Steve Smith a lot) he ran a fairly complex offense pretty superbly. So I think he'd do alright.

Besides, Eli isn't pretty/controversial enough to play for New England Wink

For the record, the system is great. As is the QB.

You know, I actually support you if you do NOT support other teams from your state if your own won't be able to pull it through the whole season. That's how it is on BR anyways: kill people that cheer for other teams from your own state, make alliances with teams from other states.

I noticed that irony a while ago as well.
Still doesn't mean I can't hate em!

Fair nuff.

BTW my brother the Eagles fans has hated the Pats longer then I. All going back to that SB.  He can hold a mighty grudge, and after 2007 oh boy there's no chance LOL

No amount of sex would have made that superbowl better.

Go Steelers !
I  would rather they play the Jets at home than the Patriots on the road so i hope i don't regret cheering for the Jets today.I can't see Green Bay losing to the Bears the  way  they're playing. So hopefully Steelers vs Packers for the Super Bowl.
