I would have liked for the Steelers to have saved some of those 49 points for the playoffs instead of wasting them on the Brownies.

OK, maybe not fore very good reasons...but historical none the less!

For the great draft they had right?

I was reading that the situation is historical for another reason:  regular season record-wise, first time the best playoff team (Pats at 14-2) has double the win total of the worst (Seahwaks at 7-9).
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

I'm going to guess Pat was having some fun (it's taken a while but I think I've figured him out Wink)
And yes, worst record ever to make the playoffs.
I don't even know how I'd feel if they made a, truly, miraculous run and got to the SB.

JJ gets me. I was making a joke. A hilarious joke I would add.

I'm going to say that the Saints losing Pierre Thomas for the season kills a realistic chance of them going to the SB. I'm giving the Seahawks an actual chance to win this game. Maybe 25%.

No Pierre, no Ivory....possibly no Shockey or Thomas or at best limited playing time and also possibly limited or no time for Jenkins and Hargrove on defense. Limited time for Colston too........up that to 26.5% chance for the Seahawks Smile
Worse though I just don't see the Saints giving the Bears (assuming they beat Sea) a good game in the frozen tundra without the running game of Thomas and Ivory.

So, what are everyone's pick for the wild-card round?

Mine: all wild-cards
- Saints
- Packers
- Ravens
- Jets

Time always wins.

The less than Jones sees the field for the Chiefs, the better their shot of winning.

Andrew Luck announced that he is staying at Stanford next year.  With possible changes to rookie pay structures, they are saying that this could cost him up to $60 million in pay, not to mention, a bad season or a serious injury could cost him the whole kit and caboodle.

It's probably the worst decision he's ever made in his life.

I am not sure his exact reasoning, but on the surface it is an admirable decision, but I think that "Show me the money" is the correct decision.

Forecast is for possibly a bit of snow here in Seattle on Saturday.  In any case it won't be the type of weather found inside a dome.  Hasselbeck supposedly will start, which depending on one's point of view will either doom the Seahawks or give them the merest glimmer of hope.  Well whatever nevermind, we get some playoff football for at least one Saturday.

As much as I want an unprecedented underdog run....the 'Hawks have little chance.
I would say "if they can run the ball like that again MAYBE MAYBE there's some hope" but it was against the Rams...

Jets do have a legit chance, especially with the Colts so battered but even then...it's a tight game to call.
Especially with the Colts running the ball and stopping the run as of late! Shocked

Packers/Eagles should be good but have to give an edge to the Pack

So I suppose this is my prediction:
Saints
Packers
Ravens
Jets (for the mild upset)

Looks like the Panthers have more faith in Perry Fewell than you do. He appears to be the front runner for the Carolina job.
