And at one moment Genesis was up by 4 points, although I cannot remember what the score was.

How about a decider based on whether PFM voters think a coalition with either prog boy band (Tongue) should be made?Wink

I find it pretty funny that this entire tournament has ground to a screeching halt as a result of these two bands. LOL

Most people like to hear Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!! at critical moments. Such as the genesis of consequences of said critical moments...Big smile

Out of 30,000 or so prog punters here on PA there are only about 100 or so fanboy/girls/whatever (god I hate PC...Dead) of either band; when it comes to the vote./ Someone needs to give these obscure bands (Yes, Genesis) some publicity...

I suggest a "penalty shootout": Let the five best "members" of each "team" compete against each other. Following the ratings at PA it would be:

Selling England vs. Close to the Edge
Foxtrot vs. Fragile
Nursery Cryme vs. Relayer
The Lamb vs. The Yes Album
A Trick vs. Going for the One

Or is it more fair to pick Tales instead of Going? We could have a poll about that … LOL

My variation. Now we can have six (counting this stalemate.) Or how about decide it on this basis...whose 80s pop is hated the most...?

Selling England vs. Relayer
Foxtrot vs. Close to the Edge
Nursery Cryme vs. Fragile
The Lamb vs Tales
A Trick vs. Going for the One

We could also do it chronologically:

Trespass vs. The Yes Album
Nursery Cryme vs. Fragile
Foxtrot vs. Close
Selling England vs. Tales
The Lamb vs. Relayer

I see the logic in putting The Lamb and Tales up against each other, though.

Sadly Unhappy, I would always vote for PFM but if I can help Yes beat that other bandWink, therefore I have narrowed the gap to one vote.

One thing I notice people continually ignore is how Yes returned to genuine progressive rock with Keystudio, The Ladder, and Magnification, while Genesis has remained a second-rate pop band ever since the 1980s.

I'm currently reviewing the GTR live which contains covers of "I know what I like" and "Roundabout". Listening to those two songs, chosen as representative by Hackett and Howe, can give you a good reason to vote for Yes.

"I Know What I Like" is hardly Genesis' signature song.
