Also, what exactly was the "controversial" ending to the Phins game? And honestly, did the refs pretty much give to the Steelers.
I have no clue what happened.

Was originally ruled a TD but on further review:
- Ben fumbled into the endzone
- It could not be determined who had recovered the ball
This therefor made it Steelers' ball 4th and goal at the 1/2 yard line

For the second consecutive week the secondary has looked like sh*t, though, which concerns me going forward.
I guess I need to watch the replay....if the ball was fumbled in the endzone would it not have been either a TD for Pitts or a touchback for Miami?? Someone had to recover the ball right??? Am I missing something?
Offenses can't advance the ball forward into the end zone for a touchdown.  That is why the ball was placed where Ben fumbled the ball.

The replay I saw this morning showed 2 Dolphins to be the first to fall on the ball in the end zone before the Steelers and other Dolphins piled on top.  The replay they showed this morning didn't actually show who came out of the pile with the ball.  I am not sure why they determined that the Steelers should get the ball.
Ok got it..understand now.....I was reading it differently.

Well people want replay and you have to take all the good with all the bad. Seems like this one goes to the bad file....but in the end Pitts gets the win and that is all that the standings need to know.
Almost only works in horsehsoes....

Because they couldn't determine who recovered the ball the ball stays with the team that had it.  An added factor was the fact that whistles had already blown and at least one official had signaled TD.  Ben stated in his postgame interview that he gave up on the pile all together when he heard an official say touchdown.

Time always wins.

Looked like the Phins recovered but who knows.
I think this was like the Lions situation where the call was totally correct, but the rule itself is a little what the f**k?

Also, saw lots of good hits where the offensive player went straight down...not requiring a helmet.
See? Not that big a deal.

Also, go Giants! Keep rolling and put the Cowboys away once and for all!

Forget to mention. I think that call which robbed Shiancoe of a TD pass was disgraceful.

The Calvin Johnson call was similarly stupid I thought. However, at least the interpretation of the stupid rule was inarguable.

This one, though I haven't had time to really look into it completely, seems bad on both fronts.

Anyway, as much as I root against the Vikings, that was a fantastic catch.

Is it me or are receivers doing a krappy job this year with dropping perfectly thrown balls this year?

I don't think he retires before the end of the season.

No he is doing a bad job this year. Last season he was freakish, regression was bound to occur. It's hitting him big. His extending plays and making stupid decisions has so far translated into interceptions rather than flashy SportsCenter plays.

Yes he was hurt by the loss of Rice. A lot of that should be corrected now with Moss working the outside and Harvin moving back into the slot. I expect him to improve, as he has done the past 2 games. However, I don't pin this on the receivers.

One thing I like about the NFL is that they admit their mistakes unlike the MLB.

I'm loving this Cowboy's game right now.

Holy sh*t.
We all knew this, but had no idea to the extent:

The Cowboys are just god awfully terrible. All there points from the Giants mistakes/a return TD.
I know Romo is out but still, their offense has been absolutely anemic (given how much star power it has ) and I thought Dallas was supposed to have one of the best defenses!

Receivers getting open by miles, everyone shedding tackles.
This is almost sad...

This is the best game I've seen in awhile.

Dallas' problems go from top to bottom.

Jerry Jones through Phillips and Garret and the actual players themselves.
Of course the coaching staff is a big problem since they can't hold this star studded team together.

Though this is where the Giants fill me with rage. Game more then over...Eli throws a pick, now they're letting the Cowboys move the ball still.
If it wasn't for Eli and his sloppy play (at times) this game would be 50 something to 14...

Well good job G-men

Played great. The run game is looking back to 100% Eli and his trio of receivers can be explosive, defense playing superb. A lot to be happy about.
If only
1. Eli can stop making these bad passes
2. Bradshaw can hold onto the ball
They'd be unstoppable

I don't know if I call it a great game when you commit six turnovers.

Well just as I said, they played physically great and have been doing so increasingly...but they need to quit shooting themselves in the foot.

Eli needs to stop throwing these high passes. I mean tips for picks happen but this many?? He needs to work on something. And Bradshaw needs to hold on the damn ball.
Without those pics you know how big a blowout this woulda been?

I'll take the good from it and hope Colonel Coughlin can straighten them the hell out.

I haven't actually watched a Cowboys game this year, but it looks like it would be a painful experience (if I cheered for them anyways).  I've got the Argos in the CFL to worry about anyways, and I can always watch Cleo Lemon fumble the ball to torture myself LOL.  They clinched a playoff spot, but that's not too hard in an 8 team league when 6 get in.

I am so happy that the Giants beat the Boys in Dallas! I love seeing the sour-puss face on Jerry Jones!!! Love the Giants no matter how inconsistently they play. If they can clean up the turn overs they have a shot to win the NFC.

Brett Favre has a broken ankle.  They are saying that he still plans on playing Sunday.

Tony Romo a broken collarbone.  Out 6-8 weeks. Will the Cowboys be mathematically eliminated before he returns?

Yes. I'd be surprised if he returns this season.

EDIT: Well maybe there's a chance not because the schedule is backloaded with division games, but I'd still wager that they are.
