How do you know they have not listened to all three artists at one time or another? Who are these "some people"...do you know?

It's simple deduction.
This poll has about 150 votes now and it's very unlikely there's even 150 people in this word that have ever heard of PFM. Smile

By the way, after some Genesis re-listening I definitely stick to voting for Yes.
I liked Genesis a lot when I was 15 but now none of their post-72 stuff really does it for me.

Seriously?  I'm willing to bet that 150 regulars to this site have in fact heard an album from all three.  PFM is fairly known in these circles.  They have enough respect on this site that those of us that didn't know of them before we came here have probably picked up an album of theirs out of curiosity.

PFM was my first ever PA discovery back in 2005 Hug Still Yes takes it, I might even prefer Genesis to PFM.

True. I did not know PFM before I joined PA, but because of its high ratings I listened a lot of them in the past weeks. And I really like it. But against two of my favourite bands they are no contest. (If it was PFM against Magma, it would give me some more thinking...Tongue)

What PFM has in common with Genesis and Yes is the poorness of its 80s, but if we look at those 3 bands starting from the 90s, PFM and Yes had a sort of resurrection. It didn't happen to Genesis.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Genesis, definitely. Peter Gabriel's Genesis is nothing short of magical. I mean, I love Yes, but Gabriel's Genesis evokes something within me to an extent that Yes' never quite managed to. I never got into PFM that much, so they're pretty much out of the picture altogether here.

Another tie. But PFM are in a rather unfortunate position.

What odds from the bookies on Yes beating Genesis 91-91? Wink PFM 15. Cry

I think somebody is still cheating and keeping the score tied. It is almost impossible for the third time a tie between two.
Really don't mind if you sit this one out.

If it was a tie two times in arow why wouldn't it be possible to have a tie the third time?

Once we knew what we were looking for, tracking down and dealing with the "persons" responsible for cheating on the GY!BE vs Rush poll was relatively simple. The accounts in question have been suspended and the "people" behind them given permabans that includes blocking of the IP addresses of the two ISPs "they" used.

Since this poll was created and has been running while we have been monitoring the site activity very closely, ehere is no similar evidence for cheating in this poll. That's not to say there hasn't been any, it's just we haven't seen it.

Usually popular polls get 100-120 votes. but Genesis vs Yes Polls always close to 200 votes (like in Rush GYBE poll) thats why i am thinking there could be a cheating.

Doesn't seem like any cheating...Dean has already posted a process which pretty much closes the door on multiple accounts with same ISP's. Now I guess if someone really wants to do some high end internet cheating...maybe, but why go thru all the trouble.

I think the poll just shows how a lot of people here in PA think/feel about Genesis and Yes.

Is there an actual day/time to close these polls?
