Just started I know...but Colts first drive Giants brought just the line and were using 5 and 6 DB's Cry
Why abandon who you are and what works? Angry

I see the Gmen are getting pounded in the barn (come on you sissies, play outside like men).  I haven't been watching but let me guess: they aren't blitzing and instead are just laying back and letting Timberlake's BF pick them apart.

Aren't blitzing!? They didn't even start using a 4-3 until nearing half time Angry
If they lose, they lose...but didn't even try....
Just let the Colts run all over them, and who wouldn't? I mean They stopped the Pats in 07 with attacking, so do the Jets today. WHY abandon that?
Giants actually did better when they started using the 4-3 but by then they were already down 14....

Like I said, they f**ked this game from play one.

You have to attack JT's BF or he'll rip you apart.  One of the greatest myths in football today is that blitzing Peyton is a bad idea.  Roll tape back on the 05/06 (05 season, game was played in 06) divisional playoff game in which Dick Lebeau's blitzing 3-4 defense embarrassed The Media's God.  Hell, if it weren't for one of the worst rullings in NFL history the game would have been a complete laugher.  This was back when he had a better o-line, as well, so it makes even more sense to blitz him today.  Get the guy out of the pocket and he's average.

Dude you're telling me?
I said it in my own post...how did they Giants shut down the most potent offense of all time in the SB?
How are the Jets still beating the Pats today?

Gotta blitz.

I know the fear of blitzing against these passing teams... but if you can do it, we've seen it works and this 4-1-6 thing doesn't. That's how the Pats got 16-0 and Brady became god. Their toughest games were against the Eagles, Ravens and Giants all blitzed him.
I'm just peeved is all...Giants pretty much didn't start playing until the second half.

Well not mentioned anymore because, well we all know it LOL

But really. Teams still gave it to them. Let Brady throw it 5 yards at a time for 50 times....
No wonder they were unbeatable when you let them win.
OH and when you get penalized for being within a yard of Tom Brady Angry

Anyway that Giants game is long turned off. They deserve to lose for 1) giving that game away and 2) not being themselves

Dump pass to Welker, dump pass to Faulk, 5 yard slant, screen, screen, short slant.  I hear if Brady throws more than 3 passes over 10 yards in one game his arm explodes.  I mean, for Christ's sake, Kevin Faulk has been a major contributor in their offense for 10 years.  Kevin Faulk!  Ten years!  I mean, come on, the guy wears modified-oven-mit elbow pads.

It saddens me.
But it is what it is I suppose.

I thought your Steelers lost their way for a bit...but they dropped Parker for Mendenhall at least!

On a good note...
The new Giants stadium really screwed everyone over...but the one good thing about it..
After 20 years of buying them off friends my dad finally owns his own Giants season tickets.
2 per game. Soooo I can pretty much go to every home game now Cool

The Lions - Eagles game was really good yesterday.  It was too bad that the Lions couldn't move the ball on their last possession and ended up losing 35-32.  Goes back to the first half when they had 3rd and 1 in field goal range, couldn't get a first down and instead of kicking the field goal they went on 4th and 1 and got stuffed again.  I really, really hate how conservative coaches get on short-yardage situations.  I know that it is probably the safe bet but it seems more often than not the running back gets stuffed in the backfield just because of all of the bodies on the line.  I always advocate spreading out the offense and defense and making more room for the running back to sneak through, and also make the passing play an option.

Steelers are looking good even without numbnuts in at quarteback.
Dallas is 0-2 to start the yearLOL. Sorry i'm sure there are Cowboy fans out there.Good news is that they have a weak schedule.
Kansas City won yesterday?! 2-0 to start the year. Lots of talented young guys but it's hard to imagine them keeping this up very long.Good to see though.

Cowboys are, always, over rated. I mean they look good on paper but for whatever reason they always fall apart. And they have these random games where they look just utterly disorganized and weak. Coaching staff, underachievers (I mean they took OT Alex Barron who is an alright tackle but VERY penalized) Dallas culture now? Who knows but the Cowboys are fail.

That being said, I love the Saints. They are such a pass heavy team but they DO run the ball a lot, and right up the middle...no dancing around. This game just started and you can see why the Saints have to be a favorite this year. 4 receivers all good, tight ends, backs all catch the ball. They have the multi back system and can run it right at you. GREAT O-line and Brees is accurate and so elusive. Sometimes 4 wide, sometimes 2 TE, sometimes extra linemen they always give different looks. What an awesome team.

Defense plays surprisingly well

I hate the Saints. Hope the 49ers do them in, but that doesn't look good tonight.
