There is only one King in The Kingdom of Prog Rock! The others must be His thralls, it´s The Law!
King Crimson rules!

I like both around the same. But people who say PF are more consistant and that KC put out more crap, I'd like to know what the f*ck they are smoking.
Of the 13 KC albums only one is mediocre by my book, TCOL. And I'd rather listen to that album than The Final Cut or the studio side of Ummagumma, jeebus.

Genesis still put out 5 good albums without Gabriel and 2 that are ok but have some great tracks, Pink Floyd had one good post Waters album and one ok one but that's it.
Soooooooooo

Disappointed. Didn't realize this was "Prog Polls" and thought this was about some sort of awesome mashup. Perhaps one of "Dogs" and "Frame By Frame".
Regardless, I picked King Crimson, as I feel they've done far more of note and relevance, Pink Floyd only had one great era when you get right down to it.

Pink floyd.
It´s just the same as the phenomena called "imprinting", that makes the new born ducks follow another duck or any moving object after the birth. It creates a very strong connection between them.
I just saw pink floyd first, so....

I'm happy to listen to each PF's album. With KC it's not the same.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Floyd conquers all. There's a reason they were riding the gravy train.

I have always seen them complementing each other. Like white bread and peanut butter. Neither of them would be as good without the other.

Comparing King Crimson to Pink Floyd is a disgrace to King Crimson! King Crimson made more good and innovative music than Pink Floyd.
