I think itīs a matter of time before some of the features on the frontpage of PA is implemented on MMA. I know others have mentioned the lack of the search function and M@X said that it would come.

Interesting Jeff.  My initial reaction to the new site home page was very positive.  I really like the simple layout and lack of harsh color.  It is instantly easy on the eyes and inviting, at least to me.

Not sure I'll join though, but only because i have enough to do on the RPI team and this forum.....one more time commitment could sink me, or at least prevent me from ever seeing the sunshine and blue sky! LOL

But sincerely Max, it looks great, and I wish you huge success!

Hi,

Congratulations on the site.

Will this website have ratings and best of lists like on ProgArchives? This is my favorite feature of PA and I think that it would be excellent to differentiate this site from other similar metal websites.

I agree totally like this...   in fact...  perhaps I've just looked at the front page of PA's for far too long... but have come to love the layout.   The front page of MMA just looks messy to me...  perhaps that is just because it is different.   As I've posted there...  I'd like to see that site learn from the mistakes of this site... but also keep the best parts... and that front page of PA's with the way it is laid out.. and the way bands and genres are presented should be adopted by MMA.

my two cents of course...  hopefully not pissing on someone's unique design LOL

I'm kind of with this as well. I love the forum layout of both MMA and PA, but I tend to like the front page of PA much better. There's nothing wrong with the layout of MMA, but I miss the search box, and the sleek and linear design of the PA front page.

Still, great job M@X! I really love MMA!Smile

Thanks all for your kind words,

MMA goal is to be a more "community" oriented metal website, much different than EM. In the end, we might fight for the #1 metal site on the internet Wink

Yes, we have a subgenre, TRADITIONNAL HEAVY METAL that cover the initial movement. Feel free to suggest some bands in the MMA forum.

Welcome to MMA, PA members !!

To some extent. But as in here, with reviews much more central and with a more pleasing design.

The question is really: What does PA have that EM doesn't for what they cover.

Oh good Lord, it seems we found a ''Second Love''... I like the fact that is in similar patterns with PA - I can find my way through easier.

Good luck M@x!!!

Oh well, did som spamming on a few other sites just now, it'll be interesting to see if that leads to a few more people showing an interest for the new site ;-)

Well done! Rawks

What timing...getting more interested in metal...good to have a reliable site to lookup more general metal things! Signed up overthere...Wolves With Hats is the name....

Best of luck with it, as well as the other planned sites! Hug
