Very difficult choice as there are no weak tracks on what is probably my favourite VDGG album. Rather ironically, the lyrics on Emperor (my vote) are perhaps the weakest of the lot (they sound like an affectionate imitation of Sinfield in places) but the music is possibly the greatest the band ever created.

Pioneers Over C for sure. The re-mastered/expanded edition adds my favorite track, though, Squid 1/Squid 2/Octopus. It's definitely my favorite VdGG album overall, though.

I could be any one of them, it's such a brilliant album. But I voted for Killer, because of the insane sax solo.

That's a tough choice... It would be either House With No Door, Emperor In His War Room, Lost, or Pioneers Over C... and Killer is pretty good as well.
My vote goes to Lost in the end.

Really don't mind if you sit this one out.

House With No Door - like a short Beckett play in musical form, and one of VDGG's most moving songs.

The Emperor in his War Room, but not by far. This album is the masterpiece of VdGG's early period.

Easily one of the best albums in VDGG's catalog. I love the whole album but I will go with Emperor in his War Room.
Lost and Squid/Octopus, are tied for second.

Another vote for Emperor, one of my favourite songs by VDGG for sure. Micky, on the other hand, is a big fan of "Pioneers Over C".

VdGG's best, and one of my favorite albums of all time. I'm going to have to go with "Pioneers Over C" (I'm surprised it has the least amount of votes,) but I love all of the songs off this album dearly.
