Very difficult choice as there are no weak tracks on what is probably my favourite VDGG album. Rather ironically, the lyrics on Emperor (my vote) are perhaps the weakest of the lot (they sound like an affectionate imitation of Sinfield in places) but the music is possibly the greatest the band ever created.

Pioneers Over C for sure. The re-mastered/expanded edition adds my favorite track, though, Squid 1/Squid 2/Octopus. It's definitely my favorite VdGG album overall, though.

That's a tough choice... It would be either House With No Door, Emperor In His War Room, Lost, or Pioneers Over C... and Killer is pretty good as well.  My vote goes to Lost in the end. -------------

Easily one of the best albums in VDGG's catalog. I love the whole album but I will go with Emperor in his War Room. Lost and Squid/Octopus, are tied for second. ------------- "The things that we're concealing, will never let us grow. Time will do its healing, you've got to let it go. |

| VdGG's best, and one of my favorite albums of all time. I'm going to have to go with "Pioneers Over C" (I'm surprised it has the least amount of votes,) but I love all of the songs off this album dearly. |

Hard to pick, definitly the strength of the album is the album as a whole and not so much the individuals songs, as for me none of them are really without their flaws... probably The emperors bla bla bla... but not that sure really

This poll is pretty close ! Shows how consistent the album is, even though it's not my favorite. Ooooh, this is tough. "Killer" has absolutely wicked hook, and I love the lyrics to "House With No Door." On the other hand, I'm always hit hardest by the emotion in "Lost," and words could not possibly describe how in love I am with the bass riff from "Pioneers." "Emperor/War Room" is actually my least favorite, but I still rather like it, too. I think I'll just be generic here and go with "Killer." ------------- "I am the one who crossed through space...or stayed where I was...or didn't exist in the first place...." |
