or
Vocals- Ozzy Osbourne Guitar- Tony Iommi Bass- Geezer Butler Drums- Bill Ward
or
Vocals- Jon Anderson Guitar- Steve Howe Bass- Chris Squire Drums- Bill Bruford Keyboards- Rick Wakeman
Those three sound like pretty solid band line-ups to me, anyone agree?

I'd be curious to hear John Goodsall replace Steve Hackett in the original Genesis lineup!
Goodsall, Gabriel, Rutherford, Banks, and Collins.
Similarly, the rumored union of Fripp with Yes after the departure of Banks would have been quite amazing, but it would have led to a totally different paradigm.

Steve Hackett wasn't on the original Genesis lineup.
I think I've also read That both Ian Anderson and Keith Emerson wanted Howe for their respective groups.

Steven Wilson and Tomas Haake (drums is the only thing sw doesn't play) would be the constant line-up, and they would be joined by/collaborate with: Theo Travis, Fredrik Thordendal, Maynard Keenan, Thom Yorke, the boys from Sunn O))), Mick Harris, Mikael Åkerfelt, Robert Fripp, Clodagh Simons, Dirk Serries, Rob Booth & Sean Brown, you name it
