Nah, I'm just bored and restless.

In two hours I'll be drinking beer and prepare for tonight's sittning.

The second looks bad, I would have gone for the first. Actually all of them look bad except the first.

I think wondering why test scores have increased dramatically is a valid concern. I don't think the students can be changing all that much, but the material could be.

@1, Mwahahahaha! And I don't reckon that's the case; there's a helluvalotofprestige in the Oxbridge reputation, and it's actually known vaguely outside the UK as well, which helps.

It's probably valid, but nonetheless quite annoying. I reckon it's mostly just that the exam boards are getting more and more predictable and consequently in any school where people listen to their teachers they get taught how to pass exams better rather than the exams getting 'easier' per se.

Nah.

Not so.

I think many exams have been dumbed down.  Plus the Internet is your friend.  When I took my GCSEs, I didn't have access to the Internet.  I had to go to a crappy local library that had books that were of very little help.  Plus my writing was atrocious; which means the exam boards probably had difficulty reading what I wrote.  Some of the typed out essays I got better marks on than the written out ones too.

Plus the teaching at times was mediocre and some of the subject matter was rather dull too.  I had terrible time revising.  I believe I would have got on better revising in a group, with others.  I had to basically read some of my books on my own and try and understand them.

In Internet age, life is so much easier.

Some exams are a bit easier, yes. Latin's been cut down a bit, Greek's been cut down a bit in theory, but hasn't changed that much in practice.

Internet = yes. Writing = well, mine's awful, too. Subject matter = still pretty dull depending on what you do. Teaching = varies; sure it's lousy in a lot of places today. Admit I probably had it pretty good in that respect; personally, I think it's more about an atmosphere of achievement than what you're actually taught.

I think it's mostly exams getting more predictable and remarks being all over the place.
