Untitled III by Sigur Ros. Actually there are MANY MANY Sigur Ros songs that can move me ridiculously deeply...

The most moving song for me is,

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic

I don't know what it is, but somewhere in the middle of the song I feel like I need to cry.

I'd say the "Soon" section of "Gates of Delirium" by Yes.

The keyboards have that soft mesmerizing sound along with Steve Howe's steel guitar work.

Just some off the top of my head:

Devin Townsend - Storm (his vocals are incredible on this song)
Aereogramme - In Gratitude
Cayto - Chrismas In Russia
The intro to 'Storm...' by Godspeed You Black Emperor
The clarinet solo in 'The Manifold Curiosity' by Kayo Dot
And pretty much every VDGG song

Not sure if it has already been mentioned, but this one is the most moving song from what I've heard from the last 3 decades.

THE HAZARDS OF LOVE 4 (The Drowned)

It's the song Ladies and Gentleman, My Brother, The failure by the band Thursday. It's ironic that i don't listen to this type of music, but it's intensity  and pure emotion like every song should be no matter the style. It's true that in this case it's a emotion of "rage"...

Music is the refuge of souls ulcerated by happiness.

Pink Floyd - everything from The Final Cut and WYWH.
Genesis - The Lamia and Supper's Ready, especially the all change part in Willow Farm, which is strange I think, as it is a very happy and somewhat quirky part.
VDGG - A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers.
King Crimson - Starless, Exiles and Epitaph.
Radiohead - Several songs from OK Computer.

As I said in my previous post, Turn of the Century will always be number one for me, but I have TFK Church of your Heart playing right now, and that really is pushing into my top three of all time. Absolutely beautiful and moving piece of music.

That's a really good one, but I'm going with Supper's Ready.

Hi,

For me Epitaph, Close to the Edge and Time are three of the more impressive lyrics of all time and makes me feel distinct emotional levels.
