I don't hate it as much as most Maiden fans do.Bailey's voice is just so different than Dickinson's,you just have to get used to it.There are some great songs on this album like Lord of the Flies,Sign of the Cross and Blood on the World's Hands.I also happen to like Virtual XI,so if you dig that album you'll like this one also.
I recently went on a huge Maiden cd shopping spree and bought all the remasters and reissued albums, and all the live albums I didn't have. The remaster of their debut album is pretty awesome. And if you like Maiden I can't recommend their Live After Death and Iron Maiden:The Early Years Pt. 1 dvd's highly enough.

Those are two dvds I haven't gotten yet mostly because I can't find them at a good price. I managed to find The Complete video collection a few years ago at a pawn shop out of pure luck though! I've always found Baily's voice to be interesting, and to be honest - I prefer his voice over Dickinson's on Afraid To Shoot Strangers.
I think I may have the same remaster series as the one you're talking about. Is it the 1998 reissues? I don't know if they've been updated since then.

Some of the reissues and remasters I have are from 98,but Harris did some more in 2004.
I found a new copy of The Early Days dvd on Amazon for $17,but the Live After Death dvd cost me about $30(well worth it though).
