Oddly enough, despite being somewhat of a Steve Vai nut, I've never heard any of the DLR records. Sheehan is a crazy man, love his playing.

Skyscrapers was a good one. That was the tour he was on when I saw him live. Steve Vai plays some excellent guitar on that album; and Billy Sheehan on bass isn't too shabby either. Scratch that last part, Billy Sheehan was already gone at that point.

I don't know if he was ever meant to be taken seriously or not. It is defintely pretty hard to take someone seriously when he decides that leather pants with his holes cut out for his butt cheeks to protude was the fashion statement that he felt that he needed to make.
