But Henry Cow had more than one great album.

All of TMV's albums are good (Frances being the worst).
Nonetheless, Henry Cow blows them out of the water.

Have you listen to Henry Cow yet, Hamish? Just curious.

Nope. I will give them a proper try though, I wont dismiss them purely based on one song if I don't like it. I'll listen to at least 2 albums before I decide I like it or not, considering the praise they get around these parts.

Opeth took forever to grow on me, but I'm glad I persisted.

I own hardly anything on CD. I get MP3s and then burn them onto blank discs because I like having both the MP3 copy and a CD version.

So I've mysteriously managed to hear a live version of Living in the Heart of the Beast that feature one Robert Wyatt.
Holy sh*t it brutally murders the studio version, then revives it just so it can kill it again because it didn't feel like it was brutal enough the first time.
Now if only I had $100 to drop on the box.

But you didn't answer my question about buying Concerts. |
Depends on your level of fanboy - the Hamburg and Oslo pieces are quite different, so there is something to be gained from acquiring each album. But the track list of the "songs" is fairly similar, and you would get the feel of the tracks on Concerts from listening to Hamburg, I think.

I don't. I actually criticise their music. Alex likes all of it, even the not so good stuff.
