Hello! I have another one for ya (hopefully I'm right this time!) They were called Fantasy. They released one album in 1970 and 2 singles (first was Stoned Cowboy b/w Understand and a non-album A & B-Side: Painted Horse b/w I Got the Fever). Their song Stoned Cowboy was a minor hit in the US, reaching # 77 on the Billboard Pop Singles, and their album reached # 194 on the Billboard Pop Albums.

The members are as follows:
Lydia Janene Miller - Lead Vocals (she was only 16 years old when she recorded this!)
Vincent James DeMeo, Jr. - Lead Guitar/Male Vocals
Mario Anthony Russo - Piano and Organ
David Robert Robbins - Bass Guitar
Gregory Scott Kimple - Drums

Thumbs Up

Cheers, I'll alert the heavy prog team.

AP - please remove the link to the rip, though, it's not allowed.

I wouldn't tempt fate, young sir...Wink

I've heard the album through now, and all I'll say is its a very interesting proposition..Ermm

I have to be honest, I'm really most intrigued as to where you have managed to find so many relatively obscure one album wonders from the early '70s??

You've certainly had our Eval team scratching our heads..EmbarrassedWink

LOL Well my dad has had a copy of the GoodThunder album for over 30 years now, I got the Fantasy album from my dad's friend who was giving a buch of records away almost 2 years ago. As for the Armaggedon album, I just stumbled across that online and said "that seems interesting" and so I got it and loved it. So there's that...

And I'm glad that I can at least give you guys some challenge!

And if the heavy prog thing doesn't work, perhaps one of you could pass it along to the Cross-over or prog-related teams.

I know that album and to me is more heavy psych than prog.

I disagree with that, yeah theres a lof of psych on that album BUT there's a considerable amount of prog aswell. Now maybe not heavy prog but definitely some form of prog.

^^ well, we will put you all out of your misery and say that the HP team have all actually warmed to your 'Fantasy' album...Clap

however, we don't *quite* think it fits Heavy Prog... so we have sent it over to our Psychedelic/ Space Rock team, for evaluation and comments...Smile
