Well, I had a listen and I can fully understand the proposal toward Psych/Space. I like it, and if it stays that way over the coming two weeks I will probably go after the album. Well done...

well don't let it stress you...this is all part of the process...
if you'd had given us an album with one style and influence, it would have been categorised more quickly...albums with lots of styles and influences always take longer, because they have to be evaluated by more than one genre team..

Oh yes eclectic eclectic
Well, this topic is getting really stressful to me If it can help you, my second album should be more like "Trample On Me" than "The Missing Piece". Some heavy parts with soft, acoustic or atmospheric, interludes through long songs... Thanks for your interest by the way ;) |

Regarding Eclectic: I'll try to have a listen tonight, or by tomorrow.

Spleen Arcana have been submitted to the Psyche/Space team for evaluation... If they get rejected, they will probably come back to us the HPers, and then who knows?

And that reminds me that I have to get back to this. I'll play the tracks you send me tomorrow and provide some feedback. If not Heavy, then Eclectic maybe?

That's really really great! Anyway, I guess I can't judge by myself and most of all, it's you who are the specialists ;) It's a good news for me that you find it's prog enough :) Oh it's funny because I often use the "alternative prog rock" label but it means nothing... And I just saw a thread about this here, interesting! Thank you for your work! |

no; I think you're absolutely right in your analysis.. (but then you would be, wouldn't you??)... Trample On Me certainly has a Heavy Prog feel to it, but the other tracks not so much. That said, SA certainly aren't Prog-Related... definitely Prog, its just a question of best fit, which may take a little time... but rest assured, we are working on it...

It sounds really great!! I'm not sure about "heavy prog", it fits "Trample On Me" well but the rest of the album is more soft apart from some parts here and there. Maybe it's prog related or crossover prog...
Anyway, I'll keep you informed for sure as soon as possible! Thank you so much!! Edited by Anaon - January 25 2009 at 06:54 |

thanks for that; FWIW, I personally think your music is a good fit for *somewhere* on PA... (where exactly, is still to be decided..) but an addition won't get the go ahead until the hardware is ready...so keep us informed..

Hey thank you very much!! It's hard for me to tell which is my influence for that song... People talks about Pink Floyd but I don't really understand why... I thought more about Rush, Tool (for the verses drums part) or Porcupine Tree... Well I feel weird to say that, it sounds pretentious I just can say that my favourite bands are Marillion, Yes, Rush, Porcupine Tree, Mike Oldfield or Pain Of Salvation :) Thanks for listening :) |

Agreed, Heavy Prog would be ideal for that song. Where do your influences lie? I swear you remind me of a very good band I used to listen to Despite that, it is very original stuff, I like it. I would vote to include you. |
