Casualties of Applied Metaphysics (Ecl., Avant, ?)

Alright. My band has released their first album and I'm suggesting us officially for possible inclusion.

Our music is difficult to describe (or so I believe), and I think we would be best suited for Eclectic or Avant, but it's open to interpretation.

Electronic doesn't fit, because this is our most synth-reliant release and it isn't all electronic; the second album (which is also finished but unreleased at the moment) is more experimental and the third will contain many vocals and a different style (progresses from album to album ).

Having heard the album I think it would be better suited for Electronic myself, but we'll have to see what the others think.

Thanks! I'm really glad everything's working and up now.

It is heavily reliant on synths, but the debut is the album that is easily MOST reliant on synths (however, I guess you can't judge on that just yet, you'll have to trust my word on it), and it's not entirely electronic either.

The second album, which is finished and going to be released shortly (give it a month or two, probably two), also still hangs onto a reliant synth-sound but simultaneously pushes away from something that I would label electronica (the first and second build on each other). I just began work and conceptualization for the 3rd too, which could be another deciding factor in favor of a sound that is far from stagnant, because it is an entirely different beast itself.

It doesn't feel like COAM would fit entirely snug into that category, but that's just my opinion. The first half of the debut I can see being called full-blown electronic prog, but besides that it doesn't fit completely.

I see your point, but we'll wait for further input.

Casualties of Applied Metaphysics is the coolest band name I've heard since Madame Blavatsky Overdrive. 

...but the download really is awfully slow. How large is the file?

My suggestion to Electronic is mostly based on the space-outery of the majority of the album, which to me is the best way to determine PE (however, this is probably why I'm not on the the elec team ) - I think it belongs somewhere, I just don't know where I would put it if it were up to me...

Prog folk? Prog Metal?

Hmm, listening to it again I thik I should take back the Electronic remark. Maybe Avant?
