I dont know if i am beeing too hopefull here, but this is a band i joined around 8 months ago..who used to be more straight metal, but after a line up change we have made a concious effort to play something more original with a new sound.   our joint influences are porcupine tree, oceansize (who they supported before i joined) and other alternative bands for example Karnivool, incubus, mutemath etc.

we just finished a 3 track cd yesterday that gives an idea of the new sound and it will be on i tunes, amazon and in some HMV stores..but only in our local area.  
i am ben, the new drummer..and this is our new sound..

ahh ok thanks for taking a look.... i was myself thinking about heavy prog- but didnt know if it was proggy enough?  there is definately a "different" sound with a few odd time signatures but the structure of the songs themselves arent very progressive.

I'm sorry, but it looks like the band will not be approved for inclusion in Progarchives.  Best of luck to you guys, you have a really nice sound.

ahh fair, can i ask why not? is it the lack off proggyness,the lack of a label, or the quality of the music??

If I could be so bold as to speak for those that decided, it was a lack of "progginess" - lack of label certainly didn't factor in, and I believe most thought the music was of good quality (sonically and otherwise).

it was close guys but, as NaturalScience says, the HevyProg Team felt the material just wasn't progressive, or progressive enough..  having no label can present a problem but usually only if there is also no proper CD that may be distributed
