I dont know if i am beeing too hopefull here, but this is a band i joined around 8 months ago..who used to be more straight metal, but after a line up change we have made a concious effort to play something more original with a new sound. our joint influences are porcupine tree, oceansize (who they supported before i joined) and other alternative bands for example Karnivool, incubus, mutemath etc. we just finished a 3 track cd yesterday that gives an idea of the new sound and it will be on i tunes, amazon and in some HMV stores..but only in our local area.
i am ben, the new drummer..and this is our new sound..

| ahh ok thanks for taking a look.... i was myself thinking about heavy prog- but didnt know if it was proggy enough? there is definately a "different" sound with a few odd time signatures but the structure of the songs themselves arent very progressive. |

If I could be so bold as to speak for those that decided, it was a lack of "progginess" - lack of label certainly didn't factor in, and I believe most thought the music was of good quality (sonically and otherwise). |

it was close guys but, as NaturalScience says, the HevyProg Team felt the material just wasn't progressive, or progressive enough.. having no label can present a problem but usually only if there is also no proper CD that may be distributed |
