Democrats are trying to gain ground now (once again, they're too soft-hearted and optimistic and not cynical enough to be ahead of the curve), but it seems they'll be behind until the Republicans f**k up enough for the people to reluctantly elect a Democrat.

I appreciate people who agree with Republicans in ideology, even though Neocons are f**king insane, but these things yelled out at McCain rallies and revealed in interviews with ordinary citizens is apalling. Democrats may have a false sense of superiority, but there is rarely a pride in ignorance with them.

We better value intellect sooner, rather than later. Disapprove
Are you kidding? Democrats too soft-hearted and not cynical enough? They pander to ignorance as much as the Republicans do, if not more, giving empty promises with unimaginable cynicism and hypocrisy.

Scary......really scary how misinformed people are about this or how people believe anything that they are being told.

Howard Stern doesn't do scientific polls. It was a bullsh*t poll. But the point is that the Dems don't mind stupid voters

Politicians will take any votes they can get, but I don't think even the Democrats can compare to who the Republicans court. You'll have ignorant people versus ignorant people who are proud of it and don't want to change. Baffling. Both sides paint themselves as the only ones with an answer and that the other will blow up the world.

Undecideds Laughing At McCain

 Link

 Excerpt:
In politics it is not a good sign when voters are laughing at you, not with you. And by the end of that
last debate, the undecided voters who had gathered in Denver for Stan Greenberg’s focus group were
“audibly snickering” at McCain’s grimaces, eye-bulging, and repeated references to “Joe the Plumber.”

The group of 50 uncommitted voters should have at least been receptive to McCain - Republicans and
Independents outnumbered Democrats in the group by almost 4 to 1, and they started the evening with
much warmer responses to McCain than to Obama. But by the time it was all over, so few of them had
declared their support for McCain that there weren’t enough for Greenberg to separate them into a
post-debate focus group. Meanwhile, the Obama supporters had to assemble in two different rooms
to keep their discussion groups manageable.

I think both parties cater to ignorance but you  may be right here. Picking Sarah Palin seems to be a proof of that.

Slartibartfast, I posted the funny pictures of McCain immediately after the debate. YOU LOSE GOOD DAY SIR!

It doesn't really matter that undecideds are laughing at McCain, because I'm laughing at undecideds. Anyone who at this point has not decided, but will be voting, is either too stupid or too ignorant to vote.

But you have to admit my animated GIF McCain beats your still.
Totally with you on the undecideds.  Have they not been paying attention?  Probably.

There is no way out
You can scream & you
can shout
It is too late now
Because

You have not been
paying attention"

I consider myself a bit of political junkie, but maybe I'm really just a political masochist. Tongue

And the zero clip is the only entertaining thing the debate had to offer anyway. :P

I've talked to this woman several times that comes to by my house and we generally talk about the campaigning.  She complains a lot about McCain, but then the last time we talked I found out she hadn't even registered to VOTE!

In other news, I saw some crazy doofus on some CNN or Fox News panel show that said at least 10 times that Obama was a "Marxist".   He then said why.  Which still didn't show he was a marxist whatsoever.    I wish the election was tomorrow so we could get this dumbass campaigning B.S. over with.  I'm so tired of both these campaigns and parties yammering on about useless, unimportant things, but I don't know what they would say in place of that because they don't even know what they're doing anyways.

No, but I can imagine.

What can you expect with a crook like Cheney saying the VP is not subject to subpoena because he's a member of the Legislative branch. What sh*t.

Well, while the wording of the statement makes it silly, the Vice-President is President of the Senate, which is what she really meant.  All in all, not among her most foolish statements I think.

At this point, I think I would be genuinely shocked if McCain were to win this election.

http://www.electoral-vote.com/

Obama   364
McCain  171

It's looking like that but again one thing to consider is these polls although scientific are flawed. I heard last night that one poll had Obama by 1% while another had him by 11%. I think many people might be saying that they are voting for Obama so they don't come across as being a racist.

I would also like to know where are they getting these people and if they really are canvassing all age groups. It is not hard to find a college student willing to say that they are going to vote one way or another but to find an older adult willing to take the time or be bothered with answering at all.
