for me... Prog Andaluz. Give full credit to Erik for that. Had no clue about that scene before his Spanish prog appreciation thread.
|
Add also the yugoslavian prog scene:
albums as Modra Rijeka (by Indexi), Leb i Sol 2, Tako's and Korni Grupa's debut and Bijelo Dugme's Bitanga i Princeza are really wonderful and hidden gems!! |
yes... that is where I want to head next....

(Excuse the cut and paste artist titles, also in reverse discovery order mostly, not a bad list for having haunted this site for nearly two years.) Gongzilla Reasoning, The Pineapple Thief, The No Sound Talisma Parallel Mind Phideaux Mr. Bungle Maserati (indirectly through EITS's label's sampler included with Explosions In The Sky All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone) Explosions In The Sky Pure Reason Revolution Triggering Myth, A Radiohead Also some credit to a few others goes to AOL's progressive radio station, but since I've discovered the PA I haven't felt the need to go there too often anymore. This is also a great site for being the first to find out about new releases by old favorites.

Well since I'm new and have been led here researching the Cantebury bands ie, ... King Crimson, Eloy, Camel, GG, VDGG, Caravan, Gong...
Indukti Zip Tang Magma
...and I echo the sentiments about really finding about the bands we already think we know of.... Just a great place to start to get a feel about the bands you want to get to know and where to start. Really has become my favorite site and rarely leaves my screen.
