I like 'em raspy but I also love Robert Wyatt's voice...

Is it the singing or the spoken parts you don't like?

Excellent poll!Thumbs%20Up I am one of those who voted for the deeper kind of vocals. One of my favourite vocalists of all is Richard Sinclair of Caravan and Hatfield and the North fame, and I also love Greg Lake and Peter Gabriel (especially solo). On the other hand, I also dig the likes of Geddy Lee, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Ian Gillan and Glenn Hughes (probably my all-time favourite singer). I also tend to favour deeper female voices - soprano-style female vocals do very little for me as a rule.

Any sort of vocals are welcome if they are distinctive and fit the music well.

Exactly. That's why my favorite vocalists are Eric Adams (Manowar) and Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden). They are both so talented in so many ways. They are also great performers!

A deeper and/or female voice does it for me.
