top song EVER... man...not that hard though... but Battiato is coming gaining ground...
Balletto di Bronzo - Introduzione
still.. after 100's.. 1000's of listens.... can still cause you to drool and pound your table madly and the greatest display of air keyboards known to man.

I have to say my favourite song ever is the perfect One from Metallica. It could be a kind of "prog thrash"

If you ask me for one, I have no problem, if you ask me for 10, then it will take me hours.
Myvote goes for The Musical Box by Genesis.

^you won't hear any arguments from me on that one!
but really there's so many I could chose, it's impossible as many have said. The Musical Box is great, but you could even look at the same album and The Fountain of Salmacis is equally as good...in order to come up with an answer I'd need to create a ton of categories and pick a favorite from each, and that would take forever...

I'd pick one... if I was still 14 or 15, and writing my bio for my highschool yearbook!
(Frankly, I find it to be a silly and rather juvenile concept.)
Naming just one leaves out hundreds of varied, equally great songs which have moved me over the years.
I don't view art as a competition -- thus a single band or song cannot "win."
Or have I already said that?

Yes, they're good with Vegemite -- if rather unsubstantial.
Empty calories -- I'm hungry again an hour later!

...but you'll never have insufficient levels of Vitamin B, and I hear that those little people are rich in calcium and omega 3's, but perhaps you'll need to move up to teenage metal-heads.
