Still, they might have it in them... we'll just have to see. |

I predict that the new Marillion album will be in my top list for 2008. Also, when Pure Reason Revolution release their next album (as they are working on...) that will be one of the main albums for me...

If all of these bands come out with new stuff, this year will be awesome... Add Kayo Dot, TMV, and Opeth to that for my list.

I'm sure many CD's will be released in 2008 from bands I enjoy that I'm not yet aware of but I'm looking forward to albums from....
Opeth
The Mars Volta
Ayreon
VDGG
And we must be due new ones from Pure Reason Revolution and Echolyn. Spock's Beard usually manage one every two years so that would be welcome.

Kayo Dot - "Blue Lambency Downward" - They might be my favorite band making music right now.
Genghis Tron - "Board Up The House" - I'm loving the stuff they've put on myspace from this album. And I'm sure I'll like the new Opeth. And someone mentioned a new Sleepytime Gorilla Museum album... I wasn't aware of that one, but am definitely excited about it now... |

I'm looking forward to these as well (if they are indeed released):
And also Birds & Buildings, Deluge Grander, Kayo Dot and several other bands which I forget right now and of course I'll discover new bands as well.

1. Kayo Dot - The only band that I have complete faith in these days. This one's practically a done deal for top '08 album.
2. The Mars Volta - They've progressed quite a bit even from France the Mute, so this will be exciting. 3. A Silver Mt. Zion - One of my top post-rock bands, this will be good. 4. Anathema - It seems like it's been forever since their last album, I can't wait until the wait is over. 5. Broken Social Scene (not prog) - Please? |

*This* made me pretty excited! I love their previous release Somewhere Along The Highway, good to know another record is on its way. A must have! Seriously though, after I get all the PT/SW related stuff slated for this year, and since I still need to dig the prog back catalogue quite exctensively, I won't have much money left to get other new releases... |

The only one I really knew about that will be coming out is the Opeth album, which I will probably get as soon as it comes out. Some of these other titles sound interesting, too, so I'll wait until they come out to see if I should get them.

Haha. For bizarro Laplace, someone who likes DT and Marillion, I'm surprised you share interest in these sorts of bands.
