Hypothetically of course, what would happen if I said they were all garrr-beege?

Hypothetically, I'd tell you to eat sh*t.

Now, DT isn't the best band ever, not even the best prog band, but they don't deserve to be bashed.

Hehe, I could bash DT if I wanted to, but I'm a considerate person who respects everybody's music choicesSmile

Here's a thought:  How many people actually can't stand DT's music and how many are just jumping on the "hate DT" band wagon because everyone else doesn't like them?  Is it like, all the cool people bash Dream Theater, so everyone else does too?  I find it hard to believe that each person from the multitude of people that doesn't like Dream Theater actually owns and has given a chance to any of their albums.

I love DT. I confess to being a fanboy, but I know crap when I hear it (Octavarium album excluding first and last two songs). I don't care if a lot people on this site bash DT. What does it matter if someone from, say, the UK bashes the opinion of someone in Peru? Who cares? Just live your life. If you like DT, good, if you don't, that's fine and I respect our opinion and many bashers have presented well-formed arguments that have made me go back and look at what they are talking about. However, if someone merely says DT= I tend not to pay attention to them.

My favorite epic is Octavarium, the album is their worst but this song is amazing. Close second goes to Change of Seasons, then 6 Degrees. I don't view A Mind Beside Itself as an epic.

1. 6 Degrees of Inner Turbulance (DT's finest hour, IMO)
2. A Change of Seasons (very close behind 6 degrees)
3. Octavarium (except for a few derivative moments, this is fine songwriting!)
4. A Mind Beside Itself (Erotomania is excellent, I don't like Voices much, and I suppose The Silent Man is good for what it is)

A Change of Seasons...my vote won't change no matter how many times a month I find these topics.
