okay, this is going to be tough, i don't think i can do it in any order:

Yes-Close to the Edge, Gates of Delerium
Opeth-Black Rose Immortal
ELP-Tarkus
Dream Theater- A Change of Seasons, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Rush-Cygnus X-1 Book 2: Hemispheres, 2112
Porcupine Tree-Anesthetize
Symphony X-The Divine Wings of Tragedy

i'm sure in a couple minutes i'll think of something that i wish i had put on there but hadn't, oh well. just out of curiosity, how are we defining epic? is there a minimum length or any other specific qualifications? i just used things that i think of as epics, usually they are over fifteen minutes and tell a story of sorts, which is why i didn't use any bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor or any other band of the sort that has a lot of long songs.
