Glasgow?  No way!

I've finally got round to ordering R.E.M. (Limited Edition version) and a copy of Indukti's S.U.S.A.R. on CD.

By the way, is anyone up for trying to interview the band members for P.A.?  If someone can bring a dictaphone or something, that would useful.  Alternatively, a mobile 'phone sound recorder maybe sufficient.  I definitely think it's worth it.

Oh and I still need to get that second ticket for the better half. LOL

More flyers have been distributed as follows:

Porcupine Tree: Generally good response from those who had heard of the band.  Plenty of turned-up noses too, but that's par for the course at prog gigs.

Dream Theater (Wolves): Not a great reaction, but then I don't expect Dream Theater fans to be open-minded these days. :( 3 people had heard of Fates Warning :D

Flower Kings: reasonable response - we should get a few more tickets sales off the back of this :)

using the patented Farrell/Grant Camden gig attendance projection formula (based on the 3 shows we've promoted in the last year)

(Last.fm attendance numbers) x 10 = approx number of ticket sales

38 x 10 = 380 (approx) + Guestlist = around 400 people!!!

It'll be hot and sweaty!

no, I got a similar response at Newport among people I chatted to....their audience has become significantly more mainstream over the last few years, and Riverside haven't reached their horizon yet.....Confused

Looks like I'll be going to Lydney too. Looks like a 2 1/2 hr drive back ... so I'll probably stay over. The Travelodge at Monmouth or Bristol Severn view look like the cheapest options.

Just got the updated pre-sales figures for The Underworld show and sales are still going well. I think that under the current circumstances, we can expect the final figure to be around the 400 mark which I'll be very pleased with. It seems we're managing to sell some tickets for Fates Warning too *shock* - though not nearly so many

I'm seeing Riverside in Lydney, just so those who may not know, know.

I also need to get a second ticket, but I keep forgetting.

Lydney is looking uncertain for me as work commitments are getting stressfull, though if I do make it I won't know until the last minute, probably on the day in question and daughter will/may/could be in attendance, so two questions:

1. Will tickets be sold on the door?
2. What is the lower age limit?
What?

According to an earlier post, Dean, tickets should be available on the day, but if it gets sold-out, then obviously not, but I don't think it will be a capacity crowd.

As for the latter, I'm not sure.

That's an astonishing performance to get 400 at the Underworld - sounds like it'll be heaving in there!

Looks like it'll also be a decent turnout at Lydney (though not on the same scale as the Underworld) - but it won't sell out, and there's no lower age limit.

Yep.

Oooh, it's getting closer!

I'm currently concerned about where Nicky and I's tickets for Within Temptation are though, they've still yet to arrive and the gig is next week!  Argh!  I shall give the box office for Carling Academy a call tomorrow and chase them up.

But I do have at least one Riverside ticket, which reminds me, I need to buy another one.  Oops.  As for the meal, I've yet to decide, can I decide on the day?

Oh and I somehow have two copies of Rapid Eye Movement, oops!

Did she 'phone them up, or order via the Internet?

My Nightwish tickets came very quickly and the gig isn't until March!  I ordered those via Ticketmaster on the Internet.

Within Temptation I 'phoned up.  I 'phoned them the other week and I got some automated service... they said if you haven't received them within five days of the gig, then call this number *I shall write it down tomorrow*.  Oh and it says they use Ticketmaster as well.

Hmm.

I hope they haven't got lost in the post.  I've not had any card through the door saying they've made a delivery that needs signing for.

Ah, I see.

Hmm.  I hope they will be able to sort it all out.  I don't mind picking them up on the day, if they can't mail them out in time, but I'd have preferred it if they'd actually delivered them.

I wonder if an e-mail will help?  Probably not.

Stephen has already answered for Lydney. As for The Underworld, providing it is not sold out, then Yes.  However, tickets sold on the door are usually a couple of quid more expensive - so in this case tickets are 10 quid in advance and likely to be 12 quid on the door.

Quote I don't want to pay the card transaction fees etc.
In the case of the underworld, ticket can be purchased in advance, at the bar inside the Worlds End pub (above the venue). There are no charges if purchased this way. Stargreen, See, ticketweb all add charges. of these, ticketweb is the cheapest overall.

Usually the doors open at 7PM and there's a curfew at 10:15PM, as the venue owners need to clear out the venue in time for it to re-open as a club at 11PM. This is unfortunate as it means that its usually not possible to have a drink after the show (except by going to the pub upstairs) or to meet the band after the show - unless they also make their way there for drinks.

I think that Riverside have an 'off' day in between the London show and the next date in Paris, so I assume that they'll be doing some sight-seeing.
