TO RILEYDOG22: Re DT.
I have overwhelming ethical considerations when using the K.O.D. signature as a weapon of intentional mass termination, but when considering the merits of your proposal, suffice it to say, not even I may be troubled by the execution thereof.
[In other words, great idea mate]!!
P.S. [and not K.O.D.] I'm sure we can think of a few others.

It could also be applied to those "Hackett or Howe" polls that shoot up every three days or so, and any thread refering to the top 100 albums (e.g. "Should Selling England be number one or should Close to the Edge have the spot?"). You could be as valuable for closing superfluous threads as the admin team!*
*Note to the admins: Keep up the good work!

Yeah, and all the 'the best' of this or that or at this or that, the Genesis era polls and any involving that ol' geezer Phil and, of course, the 'A Passion Play' v. any other Tull album polls gives us a real start.
And just in case admins are sussing it out, we won't have to be as vulgar as to use the actual K.O.D. acronym[although it should be produced when appropriate], I can just post up one of my famous non- controversial, humourless, otiose or benign offerings and the jobs done. It'll just bore the sh*t out of them.
Just have a look at poor old Progbaby's Favourite Fruupp album poll and Eerichtho's Favourite Prog keyboardists poll, I friggin' well dispatched them in no time at all.........and then there's Kurpij's Best Prog rock bass player poll and Natural Science's Corea/Fleck observations, I bored the crap out of everyone with them and they're still nailed to the floor. Just point me in the right direction and they're gone man!!!!

the above "KO'D" makes me think of Kayo Dot, and that makes me think that I just thought of something we could argue about. =)

~or~
People know how to respond to bland me toos and obvious opinions - they usually just ignore them and carry on as if they had the first post, whereas if you weave a little more subtlety and wit into your posts, people are often left at a loss. Think of it this way: thanks to their admiration of your peculiar posting style, you can take the breath of so many people away, right out of their fingers!

It's otherwise known as paralysis.
Now, I should add that the K.O.D. theory is being tested as we speak on some mind-numbing poll comparing Family with Gentle Giant......as if....
Now, will I get the last word in [ or ,in this case, acronym ] ?????

Now, I've just returned to that F v. GG poll and posted one of the most bland and sincere sounding [I did say sounding ] contributions you could ever wish to see. It's certain to be curtains for that thread now.
It's one of those posts you scan quickly and say to yourself- 'I'll be stuffed, is this all they've got left to talk about- BORING', and of course, you move on.
Yes, yes........a truly terminal embrace. Curtains for sure!!!

I'm definitely losing it........'The Whistler' responded to that post anyway, if you can call it a response . Can you believe it?
Now, the last hieroglyphic is my attempt at the 'dead' emoticon.......in this case, I never had it to lose.
