As loud as the music demands it, but I mostly listen to it softly.

In the middle, sometimes louder than others, but never extremely loud.

It depends on whether or not my colleagues are in the lab with me. Wink

In the car - stupidly loud, I literally shredded a set of speakers in my old VW, the replacements were so powerful the magnets sucked in the door panels and I had to build a new shelf out of 12mm MDF to take the weight of the rear speakers. Admittedly since parting with the VW I've grown out of this kind of behaviour: a family of badgers are now living in my old sub and I use the amp for cooking fajitas.

At home - if no one is in the house and the neighbpurs are out - very loud; if the neighbours are in but their TV's on - quite loud. Otherwise just loud, unless it's after 11pm then quite very quiet or headphones.

On Headphones - not very loud at all - I wouldn't want to damage my hearing.

Headphones and ear-bud are the worse thing for permanent hearing damage next to standing by PA stack at a Who concert.

On a serious note - If you play in a band - get some professionally fitted earplugs.
What?

I just have it so it's loud enough to hear everything clearly, on my mp3 player and my computer/CD player.

As loud as the speakers can handle. Rock is meant to be loud and proud. If you are in my car and think my music is too loud, tough sh*t.

I honestly have no idea how loud I listen to it, I don't think it's too loud.

I never noticed how loud my music was, I always thought it was medium. But then my friends told me that it was killing their ears. (note that the friends were hardend metal heads.) I guess that I just like to be able to hear the whole song and not just the parts mixed to the front.

I have extremely acute hearing, so I keep it low, and half the time people don't even know I'm listening - without headphones

Too loud makes my head hurt and the house shake, my speakers are pretty powerful and a reasonably low volume is perfectly sufficient.

With headphones, probably louder than I should. With my speakers, moderately loud when others are around, louder when I'm alone, and loudest in the car with the windws down, mostly with some kind of rock or metal playing.
