It sounds a lot like Timewind by Schulze, but I haven't heard Ricochet...

It's not TD ... it is from a space rock instrumental band that has a bit of the hippie look and feel to it.

1. Tull - Cross Eyed Mary
2. Beefheart - Ice Cream For Crow
3. Yes - Sound Chaser
4. Floyd - Astronomy Domine
5. Camel  - Rhayader Goes To town
6. Rick Wakeman - Catherine Howard
7. Genesis - Battle of Epping Forest
8. Can - Halleluwah
9. ELP - Bitches Crystal
10. (from the first album from a "hippie" space rock group)

10 surely is an interesting piece of music, but I have no clue which band it is.

I could use a cover clue.

At first I didn't think of Ozric because I didn't realize they don't "do" vocals. I agree the snippet is sounding very familiar to Ozric. The intro from the track "Ullular gate" is sounding very similar.
I hope T.Rox didn't do any sound editing on this snippet to make it a bit harder for us.

Well I guess you're right since I meant to say Rubycon, not Ricochet. But it's not TD so I'm still lost. I could have sworn that was part of the end of Rubycon though...

Ozrics are definitely a hippie band, so perhaps. I haven't heard this song, though.

The only editing of any sort is a fade in and fade out to each snippet ... the six seconds you hear is as it comes. Smile

Is there enough interest for me to do another one Question

Than 10 has to be "Dissolution (The Clouds Disperse)".

And yes, I'm interested in another one, but I'm also willing to contribute to this thread by uploading my first "Gone in 60 seconds" compilation I just finished.

Just let me know.

Well, here's my first contribution.

You can find it under:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/gypkh7

Hope you like it.

BTW, I haven't yet succeeded in fading in/out each snippet the way T.Rox does.

I think it was n. 7, but maybe it's n. 8... well, I've recognized "Arrow" by Van Der Graaf Generator

Ah... and now it's come to my mind that the reversed speach in n. 3 is something by the Iron Maiden in their Piece of Mind album (I think just before "Revelations")

"Arrow" by VDGG is correct (snippet # 6)

# 3 is indeed Maiden.

But what song?

These are the results so far:

1. ? - ?
2. ELP - The Hut Of Baba Yaga
3. Iron Maiden - ?
4. King Crimson - The Devil's Triangle
5. Blue Öyster Cult - Black Blade (to my surprise this one was very quickly recognized)
6. Van Der Graaf Generator - Arrow
7. Jethro Tull - A Passion Play (part two)
8. ? - The Hut Of Baba Yaga [cover]
9. Yes - The Fish [live]
10. Focus - Hocus Pocus

I guess it's a bit early for giving some clues on the remaining snippets, or isn't it?

A bit early, as some people haven't had a go yet. Give it more time I say.
