Mark II of this game ... 10 tracks with approx. six seconds of music from each. (I tried it a while back with just three seconds per track.)
Click on the link to play the sound snippets I have stuck together.
Can you pick the artists
For legend status, what about the track name too (Some should be very easy)

It seems to be a very nice game, but I can't download the snippets.
I get the following message:
The GeoCities web site you were trying to view has temporarily exceeded its data transfer limit. Please try again later.
Does anyone else have the same problem and/or knows what's wrong?

I was just about to post these except for Sound Chaser which I couldn't remember...
I'm terrible at these kind of things, but I tried...
5. definitely Camel, perhaps Lady Fantasy? 9. ELP, but not sure which song, my memory fails me.

All bands are correct so far ... The Camel track is from Snow Goose, the ELP from Tarkus ... if you want to have a ping at the titles
And Vompatti ... you have named the tracks too.

It's not TD ... it is from a space rock instrumental band that has a bit of the hippie look and feel to it.

At first I didn't think of Ozric because I didn't realize they don't "do" vocals. I agree the snippet is sounding very familiar to Ozric. The intro from the track "Ullular gate" is sounding very similar.
I hope T.Rox didn't do any sound editing on this snippet to make it a bit harder for us.

2. ELP - The Hut Of Baba Yaga
3. Iron Maiden - ?
4. King Crimson - The Devil's Triangle
5. Blue Öyster Cult - Black Blade (to my surprise this one was very quickly recognized)
6. Van Der Graaf Generator - Arrow
7. Jethro Tull - A Passion Play (part two)
8. ? - The Hut Of Baba Yaga [cover]
9. Yes - The Fish [live]
10. Focus - Hocus Pocus

Yes, it is as we would hear it on record (there's no editing here besides extracting the snippets from the original albums).
Anyway, here are my clues (indicated in red):
1. (Listen to reverse in reverse and let Google do the trick)
2. ELP - The Hut Of Baba Yaga
3. Iron Maiden - (Paolo.Beenees came very close when guessing this snippet)
4. King Crimson - The Devil's Triangle
5. Blue Öyster Cult - Black Blade
6. Van Der Graaf Generator - Arrow
7. Jethro Tull - A Passion Play (part two)
8. (Aaarrg, a bass playing label owner!) - The Hut Of Baba Yaga [cover]
9. Yes - The Fish [live]
10. Focus - Hocus Pocus

OK, I agree. I also would hate it if this game would die.
So, here are the last 2 answers:
1 = ELO's "Face the Music".
The clue was: "Listen to reverse in reverse and let Google do the trick". When listening to this snippet in reverse you hear someone say the following words: "The music is reverible, but time ...". The first hit in Google on these words learn that it's from ELO's track "face the Music".
8 = Mekong Delta.
The clue was: "Aaarrg, a bass playing label owner!". The band was formed by the bass player Ralph Hubert, who was at the time also the label owner of Aaarrg Records.
Well, that wasn't to hard, or ..?

maybe Girl Who Was...Death, maybe Eliogabalus; I somehow doubt Sacrilegium and don't think Dies Irae at all.

The Girl Who Was...Death it is!
With Draconean padding out the other two where the band was known, we have only 3. to go.
FIrst clue for the band name: The second incarnation of a JR-F outfit from the UK

Well, given T.Rox' clue, it must be Colosseum II.
But I don't know the track yet.
Edit:
It's "Dark side of the Moog".
IMO Gone In 60 Seconds no.3 - T.Rox 2 is completed now.
I have another set of snippets ready.
If there is any interest in another one, just let me know.

Yeah, it is the inclusion of lyrics that makes some of them a bit on the easy side, I think. Will have to avoid that in the future.

You're quiet right. I managed to find some by means of the lyrics.
Thanx for the last one T.Rox. It introduced me to Colosseum II and Devil Doll. I'm certainly going to check out their albums.
Here is Gone In 60 Seconds (No.4 - Draconean 2).
You can find it on:

No. 4 and 5 are covers on ELP and Led Zeppelin, and no. 10 is a song (which one?) from Pink Floyd's Final Cut.
Haven't heard any of the other music before.

n. 5 are not Led Zeppelin, but I think they could be the Page/Plant project...
By the way: is n. 1 something by Gong?

No, # 5 is not the Page/Plant project.
And #1 is not by Gong.

The No Quarter cover sounds like the mellow parts of Grave Digger's version from "The Music Remains the Same" tribute, but they're not on the PA... I don't know any other Zeppelin tributes.
Confusing KC with ELP that was a good one... But ELP covering Schizoid Man, what a dream!

Didn't think it was really....
Is 2 Iron Maiden then?
Is YYZ by one of those made up bands from "Working Man"
like...
- James Murphy / lead and rhythm guitar - Matt Guillory /keyboards - Deen Castronovo / drums - Stuart Hamm / bass

No, it's done by a "regular" band. But the band situation could be a bit confusing.

It isn't Tool.
I think Tool covering No Quarter would be very interesting, but it also would surely have their "finger print". The No Quarter cover in my snippet is IMO very similar to the original.
Already correctly guessed (Gone In 60 Seconds (No. 4 - Draconean 2)):
1. ? - ?
2. ? - ?
3. ? - ?
4. Voivod - 21 Century Schizoid Man
5. ? - No Quarter
6. ? - YYZ
7. ? - ?
8. Magellan - Don't kill the whale
9. ? -?
10. ? - ?

Ok, let's summarize the results of the guessing so far:
1. ? - ? (the band isn't Gong)
2. ? - ? (the band isn't Iron Maiden)
3. ? - ? (it's a cover from a Talk Talk song)
4. Voivod - 21 Century Schizoid Man [cover]
5. ? - No Quarter [cover] (the band isn't Tool or the Page/Plant project)
6. Majesty / Dream Theater - YYZ [cover]
7. ? - ?
8. Magellan - Don't Kill The Whale [cover]
9. ? - ? (the band isn't Iron Maiden)
10. ? - ? (this song can be a bit confusing, because it isn't "Pigs on the Wing" and in some degree it is)
Maybe a bit early for real clues, but as I stated earlier, all tracks and artists presented here are featured on the PA webpages.

I second that
Let me know if I should give clues to make it easier guessing the remaining unknown sound clips.
Well, here's a little clue in case you haven't already noticed: All the tracks have something specific in common.
