One of our biggest problems would be kids skipping school to go hang out in the velvet room...

As far as I'm concerned, the wars we already have don't count, as Prog Archives isn't a country yet. Wink

there'd be sections split up by genre's. prog-metal and jazz-rock would be on the borders, which would border the nation of metal and the nation of jazz. symphonic and art-rock would border the nation of rock and roll and classical. psychedelic would live above the country, not on the ground, just hovering.

our allies would be jazzburg, metalland, rockland

enemies would surely be punkland, emoville, new wavestanbul, 80's burg, and pop-ica

we'd have a hit list of leaders to assassinate, including Queen Spears, Duke Cobain, Lord Kenny G, and King Gabriel for treason (jk)

Yea...

the prog metal guys would always beat the sh*t out of the neo-proggers and post rockers.
the RIO? Avant-Prog would not go near anyone and just hold up their noses adn sh*t on top of people.
The Zeuhls would mostly do the same, except they would march around in a cultish fashion while they did so.

Symphs and Italian Symphs would ban together and help out the neo and post guys, only for the purpose of exposing the pussieness of the prog metal guys.

Jazz rock/ fusion fans will chill out with all the canterburys and dance around in the moonlight, thats the only time they would make any appearences

other things as well...
I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

The one who we must kill is Phil Collins, he deserted to the nation and run right to Pop-ica, but aparently he is trying to repair that damage returning with the old Prog Gods and help us with "escential information" about the enemy.

After the wheels of progress have been set in motion it will take 6 years till the formation of prog archives as a country, the year 2012 will be the birth of our nation which happens to coincide with the end of the mayan calender. We will have 100 years of peace, tranquility and good progressive music. The year 2112 will be the grand celebration of our centennial, there will be many prog festivals to attend that year.

The Velvet Room would be the biggest and most popular building in the country. they have three, each one made after the predecessor(s) one got f**ked up. It's a lounge with prog bands playing ans kid's go there when they skip school. The most popular people in the room are the velveteers.

'The Sun' is the biggest and most popular tabloid in the UK... doesn't make it any good, though!

Personally, I see 'The Grey Room' as home to those who unbeknownst to others, actually run the country; the movers and shakers, the power brokers, the whisperers into ears of authority, PA's own Majestic Twelve, if you like; the Illuminati of the archives.

Our membership grows daily, as does our influence.

As far as I understand by previous contribution, the ProgRock Country would be a hell of a mess... be careful: Italy already exists...

By the way, I think that Roger Dean could paint its flag.

That gives me a great idea - such a fractured nation would need a leader of impeccable credentials; one whose personal integrity is without question; one to whom corruption is anaethema itself...

Let's hear it:

Silvio Berlusconi for president of ProgArchivia:

*feels utterly sick*Dead

On a more serious note, though, bear in mind that half of the Italian population (including myself) hate the 'gentleman' pictured above, and that they could take exception to being associated with him just for the fact of being Italian.Wink
