Progarchives has a long turbulent history. Progarchives is more of a confedaration than a nation. It's inhabitants are a mix of all different tastes and political stripes. Within the confedaration there are many kingdoms. The Symphonic Prog Kingdom of Lord Melgar Morey, the Art Rock Kingdom of R(ush), the Zeuhl Kingdom of Ree, the Neo Kingdom of Cyg and Stone, the Folk Kingdom of Huuges, the Post Rock Kingdom of Bryan, and the Confedaration of Prog Metal among a few others. The Confedaration of Prog Metal is usually at war with all other kingdoms, and it has no true leader itself because of it's divided platforms of TlossForWords' Dream Theaterites and Trickster's Black Metal goblins. The only the Prog Metal team agrees on is that the rest of the Progarchives realm hates them more than they scream at each other. One of the Prog Metal Lords even departed from his kingdom because he felt more divisions were necessary. There is also a history of the Neo team, it's small and consistent, but they revolutionize new ways to hate Neo everyday. Everyonce in awhile, they agitate more Prog Kingdoms than the Prog Metal Confedaration. The longest battle perhaps is always going on between Symphonic Kingdom and the Prog Metal Confedaration. The Symphonic Kingdom with it's long epic songs is still waging war on the Prog Metal Confedaration arguing the twenty-plus minute Foxtrot is really longer than the 42 minute Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Pain of Salvation BEites can't decide which side they are on. While Neo fans assimilate into Dream Theaterietes because of those guitar solos over atmospheric keyboards on the awe-inspiring Falling Into Infinity. Over the realm of Progarchives there exists an objective right and wrong that Prog is better than all other sounds. The government is a economically unified Communist Utopia lead by Trotsky and his collaborators. What's the future of Progarchives? The populous is eagerly awating the year 2112 and that sh*t in Tales From Topographic Oceans! -------------

I like the name Progia, I think I'll copy that (with Zepology's permission of course) Progia is a country that is always looking to the future and willing to embrace new ideas but is still bound by tradition. Many citizens feel that the 'Golden Era of Progia' has passed and that Progia will never reach the heights it did before the punk wars, however others feel that another goldern era is about to begin. There are many regions within Progia each with their own traditions, most citizens move between the regions sampling their local delicacies but others prefer to stay in one region. Despite a halt to the hostilities the borders remain heavily guarded to prevent another Punk invasion. |

Well I think any group of intelligent and respectfull people and maybe the Heavy Metal nation. I dont think we would have enemies, but our relationships with the Punks would not be the best. What would our flag and map look like?
Probably we would have some cover album...I think Larks tongue in Aspic would make a great flag. And map...I dont know Where and on what continent would it be on?

On The Federation of Progs The Federation of Progs is ruled by the Admins of Syrinx, a mysterious and dictative group. Main spokes(wo)men of the Admins are in the council of three, consisting of Tony R, Ghostrider, and an nice old chap called Easy Livin'. The community of Admins is guarded by Prog Lucky and M@X. The Federation is under constant threat from the inhabitants of the outer planets (including former Pluto ) - like the Davidbowies, Rollingstones, Robbiewilliamses and the Beatmasters. Fortunately, each of these planets is also partly ruled by allies of The Federation - Deeppurples, Katebushees, and many other small tribes.Each morning, the priests play the federational Anthem "In the court of the Crimson King", after rounding up all inhabitants at the local rock temples to sing along to the main chorus. The purple and orange federational flag is raised during the last measures of the anthem. Internally, the priests have to deal with tensions between various tribes, including but not limited to the Symphonics, Krauts, Zeuhls, Canterburies, Pureprogs and Progmetallists. Usually they deal with this by scheduling festivals where mellotrons, guitars, drums and electronic keyboards play in turns, with short flute solo's during the intervals - when roadies change the stage. These festivals only occur at the edge of big cities, where members of various tribes live close to each other. The main ethnic groups however have their own continents on each of the three main planets of the Federation. Occasionally, the Admins have to deal with an odd Canadian trying to play acoustic guitar behind the sacred waterfalls. These are dealt with by keeping them illiterate, and send them away on long motor cycling journeys if they get in the way too often... If we don't agree soon people. America will look to us with envious eyes, and probably invade us because we can't agree on which prog genre is the best.
However, maybe we can start developing our nuclear program, i know a bit about fishing, and fusion (the art of blowing fuses).
The flag should be the Brain Salad Surgery album cover, without Gigers willy disguised as a shaft of light.

Who would be our Allies? Enemies? Our allies would be other rock nations includin the Metal Nation (sometimes we had a few troubles with them but at the end we still be friends) our enemies include the Emo nation and the Reggaeton with his fasist allies.
What would our flag and map look like? Some with blue and purple with a fantastic creature, our map will be like Middle Earth.
Where and on what continent would it be on? In the Rock continent, or maybe in the Antartica.
What would our name be? Progtopia, Progtopolis, The Guaranted Eternal Sanctuary or maybe The United Federations of Progheads.

there'd be sections split up by genre's. prog-metal and jazz-rock would be on the borders, which would border the nation of metal and the nation of jazz. symphonic and art-rock would border the nation of rock and roll and classical. psychedelic would live above the country, not on the ground, just hovering. our allies would be jazzburg, metalland, rockland

Yea... the prog metal guys would always beat the sh*t out of the neo-proggers and post rockers.
the RIO? Avant-Prog would not go near anyone and just hold up their noses adn sh*t on top of people.
The Zeuhls would mostly do the same, except they would march around in a cultish fashion while they did so.
Symphs and Italian Symphs would ban together and help out the neo and post guys, only for the purpose of exposing the pussieness of the prog metal guys.
Jazz rock/ fusion fans will chill out with all the canterburys and dance around in the moonlight, thats the only time they would make any appearences

After the wheels of progress have been set in motion it will take 6 years till the formation of prog archives as a country, the year 2012 will be the birth of our nation which happens to coincide with the end of the mayan calender. The Velvet Room would be the biggest and most popular building in the country. they have three, each one made after the predecessor(s) one got f**ked up. It's a lounge with prog bands playing ans kid's go there when they skip school. The most popular people in the room are the velveteers. -------------
