Now if something happened to poor Wills, then Harry the non-inbred and non-royal (it's not official, obviously), would become King.  To be frank, it wouldn't make a damned difference!

The weird thing is that the non inbred, non royal (allegedly) 3rd in line to the throne is even uglier and dimmer than his inbred royal brother. And he's ginger. Makes you proud to be British LOL.

I've got a major axe to grind today.Angry

Why is it that people feel the need to move next to an active race track then go through the courts to get noise restrictions put on this tracks ending any major international, or even national, championships the come to visit and making it even harder for these places to make even a small profit, and in some cases break even. A couple years ago some local morons complained about the noise of British GT/F3 races at the Castle Comb circuit in Wiltshire (I think) ending one of the best attended events of the calander for both track and championships.Angry Then, last year locals at Monza in Italy started complaining about the racing at a track that has been in continual use since it opened in the mid 1920's, resulting in the Monza 1000km sportscar race being canceled and the F1 race coming under serious threat. Now, when I picked up this mornings issue of Autosport, I found that the locals that moved next to the Zandvoort track in Holland have got noise restrictions placed ending the historic F3 Masters event, a major event that brings the best up-and-comers from around the world and pits them against each other. This event has been going on since the 60's. If these people are goingt o  bloody move next to a race track they should fuCensoreding well expect some damn noise, its a race track! What  makes it worse is the bloody courts pandering to these mindless morons.Angry

Glad to get that off my chest.Smile

It's the same for the Speedway track at Blunsdon.  They want to close it down and put a casino there and move the Speedway to Reading!

Now, I'm not a Speedway fan at all and probably never shall be, but it's been there since the 1940s.  Many people have also complained about the noise and many of these people have been residents there for years.

If you move next to a race circuit (or any other noisey place), you're going to expect noise!  Don't move there if you don't like the noise and the traffic associated with such things!

Idiots!

I forgot to mention it's also a Greyhound racing track, so the turnover from such evens cannot be too shabby, surely?

Oh thank God,  I was afraid I would start some British Monarch hating string of posts......

What really pisses me off is I just realized, I won't be able to watch F1 while I'm in school, since I don't have the channels.

A slight correction to make, there has only been 16 F3 Masters at Zandvoort, but the track has been in use since 1948, when there wasnt any houses near it, let alone infuriating do-gooders.

We're all with you Neil!

How about the pseudo posh who like to move to isolated villages in their droves (thereby raising the local house prices so high that children of people born & bred in such villages cannot afford to live there - but that's another rant for another day...), then actually complain about the noise of church bells! Or neighbours' hens! Or aircraft noise from the nearby airport which had been there for decades anyway!

Right!

Camden Lock Market, yesterday - OK, it was a little damp, but not exactly torrential rain; so why was every other bloody person carrying (and using as a weapon) a bloody umbrella?!? It wasn't raining that hard, for 's sake! If you're so ing worried about whether your head is actually soluble, wear something with a hood for 's sake! Don't gather in your masses with your huge ing umbrellas, doing your level best to spike every ing eyeball within 4 feet of you.

Got a nice shirt, though...

My rant for the day (and the rest of this week) is concerning...

COMIC RELIEF (aka RED NOSE DAY)

Angry

Our televisiions get taken over by unfunny comedians, making unfunny jokes, all for charity.  Then there's the "special" series of all ready appalling programs, such as Fame Academy.  Why!

It was fine before when it was just one day a year, but it seems it's entrails are lasting for a whole 2 weeks!

I have the same issues with Children in Need also.

Of course, I realise it's all for charity and for good causes, but is it completely necessary for everyone to make a complete t**t of themselves?  You can raise money for such charities and keep everything in check.  It should require one day in a year for people to give money to charity, they should do it all the time.

Am I being too harsh?

If I see Russell Brand on the television over this period, I may have to throw a brick at the television. Angry

That stupid Little Britian advert is not funny, neither is the Vicar of Dibley one, argh!

*and breathe out and relax*

Phew, I feel better now.

No, it's not just you. Comic Relief drives me up the wall! I've no problem with the cause, just the procession of back slapping, self congratulating comedians, cracking, as you say 'unfunny jokes' Friday night is my stay in night. The TV is often good on a Friday, but the drivel-e-thon that is Comic Relief, screws up my evening no end.

..and before anyone has a go at me for being mean about a charity event blah blah.. etc..I always make a contribution, usually through events that we are often emotionally blackmailed into taking part in at work.

..oh yes, of course, then there's the news reader making a cock of his or herself, doing something side splitting, that one would not normally expect someone like Bill Turnbull, John Snow or Natasha Kerplunky to be doing. Maybe they're going to shag a horse, with a big red nose on it, or perhaps sit in a bath full of worms, beans and cat sh*t, while we all phone in with our credit card details.

... ... and it usually means Grumpy Old Men wont be on..

Ah, I'm glad it's not just me then.

It's all phone-in-athons that annoy me.

They could just hire a huge studio somewhere, have a big romp and stuff and not bother to film it.  Then we wouldn't be any of the wiser and they'd have raised lots of money for charity and my brain wouldn't be frazzled because of it.

Maybe if I 'phone in to see Kerplunky do a strip tease, she'd do it?  I mean, it's for charity, she cannot refuse!  Oh and that lass from Watchdog too! Wink

Yeah, I'd probably pay to see Kerplunky do that!

Also, that girl who sometimes presents the BBc morning news. Cute, dark hair, big glasses, a little younger than Kerplunky. I think her names Kate Silverton.. I would expect too see her taking part this year, although I cant imagine her stripping..

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!
