I like Supertramp; they have good albums, but around 1978, when all the girls in my street began to listen to Supertramp , while those girls were not really prog.fans like I was, I understood that Supertramp were fun and easy listening, that's all. I remember that they came often in Montreal playing in those years, and I never went to see them playing live, until Roger Hodgson came last year alone with his piano at la Place des Arts in Montreal. It was nice and refreshing to listen to those Supertramp memories playing only with the piano.
Globaly, I prefer PF music. More spectacular, less romantic, more critical of society and the world around, and more complicated music. I saw PF once at the Olympic Stadium, and I saw Roger Water last show at the Bell Center last year.

But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion

I like Supertramp, especially Breakfast In America,
but my vote goes to Pink Floyd!

While I do enjoy Supertramp, I could laugh at this poll because I enjoy Pink Floyd so much more.

Supertramp. For one reason only - Roger Hodgson has an uncanny ability to explore the depths of despair and of the Struggle, but in the end he never loses sight of what is the most critical element (see below). Pink Floyd's music is absolutely brilliant, but they don't have that same vision.

Sorry, but thats the funniest statement on this site.
Pink Floyd are apsolutely brilliant but Supetramp had more vision. Wow
Supertramp are hardly prog, and I dont see any vision in their music, comparing to Pink Floyd who are one of milestones of prog.

Pink Floyd No Competition. Pink Floyd is much more progressive and innovating than supertramp. Supertramp is my new favourite band so don't you think i don't like supertramp or don't know anything of them.
Supertramp is a good band, they're prog but just that.
Floyd is prog and inovating.
Supertramp has 1 masterpiece and 3 prog albums.
Pink Floyd has 3 masterpieces and 5 or 6 very prog albums.

People, people, stop ending your sentences with "no contest", it looks pretty stupid.

not a big fan of floyd but I voted for them because they influenced many groups that are among my favourites. I never thought much of Supertramp and they don't appear to have inflenced many groups either.

I like Supertramp. But for me it's impossible not to answer Pink Floyd. Their music comes from another place.

I do love the tramp but I have to go with the Floyd. Crime is an Epic album it nowhere reaches what Dark side has.
