Thanks.. :)
So.. why "la-la" land? Is it just you, or is it often referred to it as that? |

Unforunately I have not found any zeuhl memoribilia floating around
Though while we are talking about Magma relate thinking I was wondeirng what you would class the band The Flying Luttenbachers as? On their 2002 album Infection and Decline they did a comendable effort at covering Magma's De Futura. This the only album I have heard and it does have may zeuhl references scattered throught, what do other people think? Edited by Black Velvet - August 04 2006 at 08:23 |

That is one helluva in-depth article Black Velvet ! Will pour over it later.
Incidentally I've just remembered I have the Magma book written in the late '70s by (British) TV's Eurotrash presenter Antoine de Caunes but can't read it as it's all in bleedin' French ! Natch. Also for some bizarre reason a book of matches with the Magma logo on it which an ex of mine started lighting cigarettes off of until I flung across the room and interveened. Any stories of zeuhl memoribilia floating around ? ♪ |

An article which I thought people here might be interested in. Goes into a lot of depth about the Historical and musical ties Magma's music has with John Coltrane. Quite an interesting read.

Yes. And the Naka1000 was simply the best tapedeck ever launched in '73, and used by the greatest artists in studio! It's very musical and performant with great dynamic and a warm analog sound. Then in '82 you did the 1000 zxl and 1000 zxl gold using electronic which are even better (better performances). Bravo! Edited by oliverstoned - August 04 2006 at 06:01 |

I'm kinda drifting slowly towards cd's for practicality however I have zero respect for 'em so they're scattered all over me apartment regularly trodden on whereas the vinyl are all in heavy vinyl protecting sleeves next to the air-conditioner.
A problem out here in la-la land is that cd's are so bleedin' expensive. Luckily the wax is dirt cheap. |

I was a full-on vinyl only elitist up to a couple of years ago. Also the bleedin' humidity in Tokyo is playing havoc with my collection.
On a side note I never went over 250 quid for an LP. (Archaia) Was tempted by the original Monster Movie by Can (600 smackers...!) but managed to talk myself out of it. |

Yeah, but i only buy vinyls if they cost less that a dollar, since i don't have access to a player. At least not in the way i'd like to...
