Shows Silvio's influence.

Flossy, I've been eating! LOL

Don't you worry, this is my usual reaction to SB's name... to say that I hate him would be an understatement!Angry

News from Greece: Olympiakos is trying hard to sign Ze Roberto (it is rumoured that the proposal is 7 M euros for 3 years)

the thing gets complicated now that Milan will play in Ch League Quals. (it is rumoured that they also want him)

if Ze comes in Greece, we will have a trio of Latin - Bazil - Sampa

Rivaldo, Julio Cesar (former Real Madrid player, just signed) and Ze...

Most likely, Ze would go for the better team! Wink

Hi, am new to this thread, and don't know whether it has already been posted.

Football and progrock are amongst the greatest British inventions, and rock bands love football, especially Yes - take a look at Chris Welch's "Close To The Edge" and you will find a photo of Yes United.

In an unlikely game Yes United vs Iron Maiden, who would you support??
yet you still have time!

I'd support Yes.

I wonder which London team he supports?

Jon Anderson was known to support Accrington Stanley and Rick Wakeman now supports Manchester City, the opposite of Tony R's club!

Dead

Worst part is that Juventus' resigning coach had forecasted this would end in general laughter. I guss he the rotten one should know just how deep this rot was!!!

I frigging hate professional sports >> they should be banned!

Alas, Hugues - how true! And it does not stop at football, I'm afraid...Cry

I'm not sure whether Flossie was upset at my call on a banning football altogether (most likely after seeing his Arsenal avatar) , but I thought his post at finding SB's influence simply horrendous >>> SB is actually institutionalizing widespread corruption.

At least when Marseille got caught fixing matches , they went down to second-league and got fined so heavily, it took them at leazst seven years to become a contender again >> and they never retirned to their old days level, yet.  >>> corrective action >>> StarStarStarStar

In Belgium, Standard Liege (the third best team historically) took such heavy fines for fixing a useless game that some twenty years after, they are still not back to their level (but this is their fault, >> they keep choking in impoortant games). La Louvière got caught fixing games under Chinese Mafia pressures and they arte going down three leagues. If they ever get back up in first lmeague, it will take them at leasrt six or seven years. >> corrective actions >>StarStarStarStar

Now only Juve is getting punished, SB's AC Milan gets NOTHING and the other two clubs are not demotted >>> Corrective actions >>>>DeadDeadDeadDeadDeadDeadDeadDead out of 5Dead

Sickening!!!!

Raf, unfortunately this corruption and cheating (doping is cheating)  is most sports, but SB and Ecclestone bring corruption to a new height and even make it an ideal or a religion.

Infortunately the corruption is not only in sports >>> SB is also taking it in political arenas. this was there already, but he brought it up to professional levels to

You know, with this relegation and point deduction, they might just be back in the top flight next year! Wink

But its a shame such a good team was disbanded, unlike the one that also should have been disbanded if you know what I mean! Embarrassed

^ come on, it's a good thing that they have taken them to court

at least they did sth about that

in Greece these things happen and noone is prosecuted
except from the club as a company, it's also the players who are 'damaged'

Nope not a topic for the under 19's, but one about the under 19 european championships.
The final On saturday is between (favourites) Spain, and God's country Ecosse (Scotland to the non-Frenchies).

However, according to all the UK news and sports programmes, it doesn't exist??? When the Scots won throiugh to the final, i waded through endless UK sports proggies and news ones too, thinking they would mention such an acheivement from a very small populated country.

(blink) no........not a bloody word, not even a wee result.

Now if the (blinking) English had qualified, it would have been in every sports bulletin, top sports news and on Sky sports, and we would be having interviews and inane drivell about their lives. Why??
Because the B(E)BC, ITV, channel 4, channel 5, and Sky, are all English driven, all the other countries in the UK are dismissed when the English sporting teams are on. If one of the other countries manages to do well, they get 2 seconds on national tv, if they are lucky. But, whne the bloody awful English are good, dire or indifferent, we Scots, the Northern Irish and Welsh too, get it stuffed down our throats.

All i ask is WHY????????

The Englishman says:

"Its Just bloody Scotland, they'd never win anything anyways"

The Scot says:

"Damn bloke, you haven't made it to a major international final since 66Wink"

The Englishman says:

"Whatever, you smelly Scot, we'll just post that on the back of our controlled newspapers"
