I was refering to technical abilaty when i said quality and if thats a "typical" song from them (is their such a thing in prog ) then i guess its okay for chilout music or just somethibg to play in the background but personaly i realy didnt like it.

ill go with Moore... Rudess may be more technical and gifted, but for me, Moore was essential in the early DT sound...

The problem with the actual works of DT is the exxxcess of "technicallity" in his music. I prefer the emotional keys of MOORE to frigidity and emptiness of the sound created in the keyboards of RUDESS (I confess that I even prefer SHERINIAN to him !!!).

I agree with the "excess of technicallity", but I disagree with the
fact that Rudess makes "frigidity and emptiness", in DT as good as his
others groups.

Wow, this is the only forum i know where there is an actual group of Rudess supports
Anyway, Rudess is about as entertaining and musically minded (judging from his stuff with DT) as a carrot. Yeah, he can play fast and accurately, big deal? NOTHING i have heard him play has moved me. Moore had some really cool ideas and he knew when to be flashy and fast and when to step back. The fact that I much prefer the albums Moore is on over the albums Rudess is on says something to me. And what says even more is that i prefer Chroma Key over the newer DT stuff and LTE.
Rudess fit in really well with LTE, but this topic seems to be more focused on DT considering we're putting him up against Moore. So Moore wins hands down. So yeah, i don't like Rudess

I like Jordan Rudess better when he's playing, but I would prefer to have Kevin Moore in the song writing room.

Rudess is a talented guy, but Moore brought something very groovy and
atmospheric to the band that hasn't really been achieved since (SFAM
notwithstanding).

Rudess for being far more accomplished both as a composer and performer.

Definitely Kevin. I miss the 'feeling' in the new DT albums, except of course of the Metr ptII.
Jordan may be a better 'techinician', but the 'feeling' is not there...

To me, no question that Kevin Moore is better. Jordan is technically amazing, but to me, his playing utterley lacks feeling because he is trying to play 65 notes every second, yeah...its amazing, but it has NO emotion.

Every two months a thread like this passes by.
I have seen alle threads being won by Rudess. What is happening now? Where are all the experts? Has Ed killed them all? Well, he is the Death....

Same here, someone in this poll must have the objective of manufacturing votes for Kevin Moore, but their petty bribes have no effect on me.
