I was looking through the archives and noticed that Steve Hillage was moved to the Jazz Rock/Fusion sub-genre.  I don't think that that classification suits his music well at all.  If anyone could give me an explanation for the change, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

He'd better fit under "Psychedelic", although there are some jazz-rock influences in his work.

I agree, his work is much more psychedelic and spacey to just be considered "jazz rock" or "fusion."

Agreed. Psychedelic/Space-Rock would fit him better.

Space Rock..the 'master' before the likes of Ozric tentacles cloned his sound ( did a pretty good job too). I would at times also classify SH as symphonic, just look at his influence with Clearlight etc.

Yes, psychedelic definitely. He was probably the major influence to Ozric Tentacles who are in the psychedelic section.

Steve Hillage should be filled as "guitar genius" - a sub-genre which would include Steve Hackett, Steve Vai and Frank Zappa (oops, this one should be filled as "music genius").

Steve Hillage definitely fits ion jazz-rock fusion...although his music is kinda psychedelic, the free-jazz elements are more solid...
